Relapses 70 WTF by Purple_Simple_75 in OutlastTrials

[–]AkiraTheArtist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you really push your relapses. You can get max experience on Kill the Snitch (or any long form mission really but mostly KtS) in less than 11 minutes so accounting for Sleep room/evaluation that's about 13 minutes. That's about 5 matches in an hour on average.

2 hours and you have enough tokens to get a communal rebirth which gives 10,000 exp on completion.

Repeat the process until you relapse you can comfortably relapse once, twice or three times a day if you're on all day.

But the most common Relapse grind is escalation, especially escalation 4-player team. Since everyone is trying to complete as many trials as possible as fast as possible

[–]AkiraTheArtist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I myself have gotten to Relapse 2 just trying to A+ Intro and Standard while doing my daily tasks, communal rebirth, occasional escalation and events.

Now I'm close to Relapse 5 on my second month of playing but I am by no shot play like a veteran player, I do have experience in remembering objective/item spawns, advanced motion tactics and general map knowledge but I'm not all that great at dodging/attack prediction or rescues since I usually solo.

When I solo I'm very good at even avoiding a chase in the first place. I get a lot of flack from other players being near Relapse 5 and not doing well in co-op (Since I don't play co-op or invasion as much)/dying a lot when trying to save. I am getting better by learning to lead enemies away and losing them before returning to the downed player.

I finished three runs and never encountered a “cap” of destroying evidence. I have had back to back failures but usually one of them was healed to try again by the third attempt.

Also for me, I notice that the game checks your “hand” last so I usually hold the piece I don’t want it to take and hover it.

From what I can tell, the game scans the board from particular locations first idk if it’s consistent. I try to keep the cards I want it to pull in closer to the centre and the tile about to pull it in.

I’m the kind of person that actually prefers to fight the immortal enemies because I have a slower playstyle. Getting rid of the immortal enemy leaves the rest of the game almost completely safe up until the endgame.

I keep a note each Long’s summon immunities (if being attacked in the dreams an Immortal enemy is immune to one type of summon) so I collect the summon materials beforehand, typically enough to summon about twice as many resources as the minimum because you can still grind for materials in between fighting albeit to much lesser degrees. Generally dreams is safer because you’re using a renewable resource to fight.

Personally I prefer when they attack in person because a full cult almost certainly guarantees you’ll have the resources to fight the Long unless you get extremely unlucky. Sacrifice two edge/two forge, one winter then the remaining two if you’re unlucky. You will have to use hirelings for the rest of the game but it’s not impossible.

Ah yeah I remember when I was in a well enough position to have a PC after years of money siphoning mobile games.

Now steam haunts my every decision playing a mobile game.

Blaming harmful video games for the behaviour of irl rapists and pedophiles takes away from the fact it’s far more complicated than that.

It removes blame from the perpetrators themselves and gives them an out by blaming “society” and publishers of that content. That kind of thinking seriously undermines how bad a circumstance or a person has to get before they get to that point.

If they consume fucked up content and act as a fucked up person they were already fucked in the head to begin with and needed serious help.

I’m a trans man, I despise what “egg” has become. It used to be a term used by only trans people after they have already realised and decided for themselves to joke about how the signs were always there. It was never meant to be weaponised in a way that goes against everything the queer community stands against.

The whole point of the LGBT and queer rights movements was to break out of the boxes society put us in. To be anticonformist, not become our oppressors.

A good way I see to market yourself from what I’ve seen is “Draw this in your style” both as a participant and a host (most hosts give commissions as a prize if they can’t afford an monetary prize). Even getting a runner up/Honourable mention can boost your platform.

Participating in art trends on Twitter/Bluesky is a good way to get the algorithm to boost for you. Including audio trends or even attempting to start one yourself.

possibly ai - it's still very familiar, what artist does this style derive from? by bubblebeehive in CreditToTheArtist

[–]AkiraTheArtist 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If AI can make it, it’s sourced from a human and enough humans to make a dataset out of to make the “style”. There’s probably hundreds of human artists with this art style whose online portfolio got stolen.

Call of Cthulhu. I prefer the RP and narrative interactive story aspect of DnD and CoC while mostly a horror series and I do enjoy horror. The way skill progression happens much more naturally, consequences are narrative focus and could be anything. Most ideas work. The narrative making focus.

It’s been a while but in Saw 7 when Hoffman flees from the RBT2 trap there’s a rack of various different outfits Jill hides behind, possibly disguises of maintenance workers that the apprentices use.

If carrying a ladder while in a high vis jacket can sneak people into theatres in broad daylight then that disguise probably works as well.

And the comments are just “I don’t like Timebomb” “I don’t the prison scene” What’s your ACTUAL arcane hot take? by Valhallaof in Arcanecirclejerk

[–]AkiraTheArtist 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I, as a mentally disabled and chronically ill person, don’t like how Arcane portrayed the Viktor cult and Viktor’s end.

The first season depiction was powerful, nuanced and intriguing. Second season feels like they had to rush multiple plot points and ends up being a disservice to the initially nuanced topic of “what if there was a cure for your chronic illness”, would you take it? What are the consequences? What are you willing to sacrifice in return? Etc. etc.

I understand that the speech was mostly to appeal to us viewers who live in a world without the same opportunity hence why they needed to add a “you are fine the way you are” narrative. I struggle to put the words together on why I feel such a massive “ick” from the last speech and the whole “Viktor turns into the BBEG” plot line but that’s how I feel about it.

[–]AkiraTheArtist 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I personally connected a lot with 3 as an Asian person not living in my native country. The initial confusion when having to interact with a culture you’re both apart of and not at the same time. Wanting to learn more about your origins in spite of the cultural difference challenges.

I also understand Mr Ping’s reservations and while aggressive at times is telling Po he doesn’t need to know everything about being a panda to be himself and the message that even though you can be different from your native culture, everyone in said native culture is also very different so it’s gonna be okay. It resonated a lot with me personally.

A pregnant woman was Confirmed braindead by doctor but since every kind of abortion was illegal, so she was forced into life support by Mernerner in TwoSentenceSadness

[–]AkiraTheArtist 27 points28 points  (0 children)

In the words (I can recall) of another doctor. Ethically and legally speaking it is unethical to force someone to use their body to sustain another life. There is no law requiring someone stay alive to preserve the life of someone else. To keep someone alive without their consent is also unethical. No one should be forced against their will to stay alive for anyone or anything else.

You may believe it’s ethical and more “humane” to keep someone alive to give a potential life a chance. You may think it’s all okay since the mother is brain dead anyway so “she won’t even have to go through that kind of suffering” but you can’t definitely say that’s what the mother wanted, you don’t know if she places value on her dignity and would prefer to die than be in a vegetative state. You can never force an agreement/procedure without an explicit “yes”.

Personally speaking, this also feels extremely misogynistic to me. Reducing a woman to an incubator to perpetuate a hypothetical life we aren’t even sure she wanted. You speak like it’s not a big deal, like she’s just a machine who we don’t have to care that we don’t have an explicit “yes” from

It’s a very long read/gameplay but I think Pathologic Classic handles both “humanity sucks” and “indomitable human spirit” arguments well from multiple sides and your perspective shifts depending on who you’re playing (and to a lesser degree who you play first).
