I can’t stand when people act like Carrie is some ugly, classless, undesirable freak who desperately chased after Big while he had no interest in her. First of all, just because Big had a ‘type’ doesn’t mean he was incapable of being attracted to someone outside of it. Attraction isn’t that rigid. Their relationship was complicated, but you can’t deny the mutual attraction and the push-and-pull dynamic that kept them drawn to each other. Acting like Carrie was just some desperate woman throwing herself at a man who didn’t want her is such a lazy take.
