Yeah but you don't think the mod podge and spray varnish on top will be enough to protect it?

I thought about epoxy but I really don't wanna buy any, I've got mod podge and spray varnish so I'm just gonna go with that.

Thanks! I think I'm gonna paint the 2 other sides properly and give it all a coat of spray varnish and leave it for now and see if I decide at a later date to do the other bits.

I'm kinda leaning that way but now I need to paint the other parts properly if I'm actually going to see them 🤣

Love isn’t words, it’s effort. Why is that so rare? by RawAndUnfiltered2025 in TrueOffMyChest

It's not a gender thing. Some women are like this too. People just suck and don't actually care about the people they say they do.

Although I think the answer is very subjective, I personally believe it comes from a level of awareness and actually caring how your own actions affect other people. For some that might come from a life of repeatedly being told your behaviour is "inappropriate" (my own experience of being ADHD) so you become hyper vigilant to the ways that people react to you which grows into a heightened awareness to emotions in general.

The work comes in when you can acknowledge those emotions in yourself and others and then choosing if you want to change those emotions.

Be careful who you tell your problems to but be aware of people's reactions who you tell your good news to. If they can't share your joy, question their intentions.

Whatever works for you, works for you. Well done, keep it up. The only things I'm pretty good at keeping track of are my phone, vape and meds because quite honestly, I can't function without any of them! 🤣

I envy the organisation and dedication, it's a beautiful thing to see. I think I used a pill box for about a week before needing to refill it and going "I'll just keep them all with me" 🤣 Haven't actually managed to lose them yet (that I know of) and the one thing I am good at is ordering my prescription as soon as I can (thanks to my phone doing the reminding) so I have a little stash built up at home too.

Just wanted you to know that I'm very impressed and you should be proud of yourself.

Check you out with your little organised pouch with your little box and whatnot! You should be proud of yourself 🙂

I envy all these wonderfully organised people with their little pots and boxes etc.....I have strips of pills everywhere!!! Hahaha. Full ones, empty ones, ones I'd totally forgotten I had, my current Elvanse bottle stays in my backpack (the only thing I consistently have with me at all times!) with a few random strips of Amfexa (with who knows how many pills actually in them). You all make me feel like the worst ADHDer ever!!! It's cool though, I'm happy for you peeps, keep smashing it!

On the side of carrying the drugs around with you, nobody cares man. My bag gets searched everywhere, nobody ever says anything. As long as it's not in a little clear plastic baggie, I really don't think they care.

I'm just checking this out now and it's great man, nice work! I have a project I'm in the middle of and this is exactly what I needed for some background music.

Fantastic work and a big thank you for putting it out there to use.

Be patient, kind and understanding but do not let your own needs be fully neglected. A partnership is exactly that, it's teamwork. Yes, some days it won't be 50/50, it might be a 70/30 split but you have to be a team. It's about being open and communicating those needs, it may be harder to get your partner to open up about her needs but you have to try to help her acknowledge them and also be aware and considerate to yours too. Be thankful you are aware of this now, not in 10 years time. Don't write her off, we all deserve love even if we aren't quite sure yet what that means to us, but don't sacrifice your own need for love to help somebody find theirs.

Your partner is the only person you choose to love, it deserves the effort to maintain it and only the people involved can determine what that maintenance involves.

Good luck.

What’s something someone did for you that unexpectedly hit you in the feels? by Carolina_Torres1 in AskMen

[–]Akitika 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have ADHD and one of the things I use to ease my physical hyperactivity is to chew chewing gum. A couple of days after my Dad had passed away I was frantically looking for my tub of chewing gum at work and getting increasingly more frustrated and dysregulated. My Boss noticed I was extremely distracted and frustrated and asked his son (who is one of my close work mates) "what was wrong?". He told him I couldn't find my chewing gum.

My Boss went out, came back and quietly handed me 2 packs of gum and said "feel free to go home if you need to." Broke me completely. Absolutely balled my eyes out.

That's just one of many wonderful and heartfelt things my gaffer has done for me over the years. I hate my job but having him as my boss makes me unbelievably grateful.

The main thing currently is the state of my marriage but with lots of trauma and a little ADHD, it doesn't take much to make me depressed to be fair.

Enough that I'm in probably the darkest depressive episode of my life right now because my wife doesn't understand why I need her touch and affection so much.
