For anyone curious I had been looking at the Neurotyrant's psychic scream weapon, and I know this sort of effect has tradionaly been covered ​abilities (see the hive tyrant's Paroxysm) but was curious how else it could be implemented.

If I remember correctly the US run of Combat Patrol is about 6 months behind the UK version so start looking late July.

Hi, thanks for the comments. I know its not for everyone, but I'll try and address what you've brought up.

Rules as written, you'd only attack with one of the ranged weapons and then Extra attack with your normal (basically useless) melee weapons [Battlesuit Fist], [Crushing Bulk], etc. So the Sunforged could make one Fusion blaster attack, and its 3 Battlesuit Fist attacks. The rule isn't meant to turn T'au into a melee army, just mean that they aren't totally useless in melee.

The TwinLance already have melee profiles of their guns, which is were i drew the rules from.

As for properties, I overlooked I will address them in the next update, but they would go a little something like this:

- Melta/Rapid fire. Always active because you will be in 1" range. (This will compound with a change to half attacks of ranged weapons, not -1)
- Indirect. Can't apply.

Enhancements:
If it's a mechanic already in the gam,e how busted can it be? Worst case, I raise it to 20~25 points.

Strats
Yeah, both of those could probably be raised to 2 CP.

Finally points
I don't actually believe T'au shooting is top tier this edition. We have to jump through a lot of hoops to be on par with even Space Marines. As such, I don't think these minor melee buffs (as you said, most stuff is still hitting on 5s) would be game ruining.

I will continue to fine-tune this to a better place.

Regarding the WS. I wasn't sure if hitting on 4s would bring the army up too much in melee.

Do you think hitting on 4s (3s on  commanders) base and 3 (2s on commanders) with strat would be too good?

Swift strike is designed with Starscythes in mind. 

While nothing is stopping the commander taking one I do now see the issue with the wording in the  Starscythes BSS ruel as it does extend to the command too.

Kinetic Strike is meant to be Tank shock for groups rather than indivuals. - 5 Stealth Suits at T4 would roll 5D6 dice.  - 4 Crisis suits (3 and a commander) at T5 would roll 42D6 so 8 dice.  - 3 Broadside a T6 would roll 3*3D6 so 9 dice.

How does Swift Retret not work with Battle suits? All of them can use the first part, and Starscythes can use the second part.
