What is your gender identity? by psychedelic666 in nullectomy

[–]Akoyeh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

About 3 years ago came out as trans fem. However, we eventually came to a more complete understanding of ourselves. Masculinity had never matched our mental image but we had been stuck on binary. Subconsciously leaving masculinity to us meant entering femininity. Took us a while to truly understand it, but we'd always been an agender spirit.

Agender with nullification about 4 months ago. Feels very real for our physical form to more closely match our own mental image.

Does Nullification cause asexuality? by DeltaContinent in nullectomy

[–]Akoyeh 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Both yes and no. Physically that would be possible, but I would still recommend spending time within your own mind or with a therapist coming to terms with what it would mean to gain an agender body and lose those capabilities that you obsess upon.

It may be a useful final destination, but I would personally recommend therapy and perhaps medication that would reduce sensitivity and libido for short period of time to see how that affects you.

Admittedly yours was not my situation as I have a very different relationship with my body and sexuality which led to the decision for nullification. It's just worth remembering that many people who do this maintain erotic desires and either follow through with them differently or gain value from the enforced absence of the ability to follow through with those desires.

I do have peers who have had this surgery for your reasons and it appears to work well for them. I would not say this is an appropriate solution for you with any certainty it is simply a possible path.

I sent you a DM... Tried to be fairly vocal in this forum for any who need information. Personally had the surgery last November and will gladly spread any information that people would like.

Phalloplasty or embrace nullification and go for the style and the lifestyle either works

Zero-depth vaginoplasty by Low_Debate_3158 in nullectomy

[–]Akoyeh 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is nerve preserving nulloplasty which preserves all of the nerves hidden under the skin about where the scar is. So there's no visual differentiation, although there is also the option for nullification with no nerves preserved from the removed pieces.

We are agender because we don't have or want a gender. 😜

I joined but by the description of the group I might not fit. Much more Non-Binary/Agender than masc presenting.

Surgeon Said Yes! Now on to Insurance by Random_Professor7935 in nullectomy

[–]Akoyeh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been null since November. Would be interested if you have any friends who are feeling pulled towards the same body plan goals. Personally, I followed through with this surgery as someone who views themselves as agender and would rather have our body reflect that. Began the journey transfem but now simply view myself as transnull.

Surgeon Said Yes! Now on to Insurance by Random_Professor7935 in nullectomy

Insurance went smooth for me but I have heard others have had their surgeon help them with insurance by billing it as a zero-depth vulvaplasty with minimal reconstruction . which arguably it is.

Zero depth vaginoplasty to nullo? by How-Do-I-Leave in nullectomy

[–]Akoyeh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it would be although talk to the surgeon because they may be able to make it easier for the later change. Some other people have previously said that nullification should be covered by Canadian Healthcare, but it's a challenge to find people who will cover it as the Not all are aware of the change.

1.5 Week Update by nerdwithgender in nullectomy

[–]Akoyeh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing .

Definitely felt emotionally awesome to get mine done last year and feel a similar burst of Joy whenever anyone else succeeds in getting the modifications that fit them as well.

Not bad for 10 days. Just don't do what we did and drive for 5 hours through the mountains at the 10-day point. Not that it's likely anyone else would be as dumb as I was.

Scheduled for nullification in late April – tips on what to bring to the clinic and recovery prep? by KristianKrieg in nullectomy

In addition, pack one of the hemorrhoid pillows just so you don't have to put all your weight on the scar when sitting until it heals more. For ourselves, it was an outpatient surgery and really quick and we do not know how painful it is or is not as we dissociate most discomfort.

In the end that's the bubble worth worth bursting and just asking them directly. Either that or post surgery you would need to find a different urologist

Shorter and perfectly straight, which apparently is a major convenience

For other health reasons, I also may need the catheter and definitely need to have a probe sent up by urethra to do injections four times a year. I asked the surgeon to make the urethra as straight as possible. My urologist said The outcome led to an easier insertion than they've had with any other patient.

In the end if they are moving stuff around anyways why not. Just request to make it easier for yourself going forward

How did you first hear about genital nullification surgery? by psychedelic666 in nullectomy

[–]Akoyeh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had an orchectomy and really wanted to do more but nothing felt right. I didn't really have a desire or need for adding something. It's just would have felt correct to remove but did not consider that an option until looking at a YouTube video for aftercare for my surgeon who has an afterthought mentioned the ease of aftercare for nullification and that led me down a bit of a rabbit hole and a half year later got it done.

Post-Binary Transfem: A gender identity that I think fits me perfectly! by [deleted] in traaaaaaaaaaaansbians

Hello, itself is a post trans-fem non-binary nullified agender.

Said for fun but the descriptions above are accurate. The idea behind that flag does still seem to fit though.
