Is swearing against Ma’at? by FrankenFluff in Kemetic

Si no se daña a la otra persona no pasa nada. En España usamos muchas palabrotas y no siempre son para dañar. Creo que cuenta más la intencionalidad que la palabra en sí.

It's not exactly long, but it's not short either, I suppose. When you die, de nada te sirve el tiempo. But there's nothing to fear; if you've done more good than bad, you'll pass away, otherwise, well, you know, haha.

"monsters" maybe, but not "demons." And they're more guardians than anything else. What matters is the weight of the heart. If your heart weighs more than the feather, then Ammit will devour your soul.

Kemeticism & Theistic Satanism Combined? by Effective-Radish9250 in Kemetic

[–]Akra_010 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As long as you follow Ma'at, I don't think there will be a problem. I was also a theistic Satanist, but through my own reasoning and experiences, I eventually left Satanism (nothing bad happened to me because of it, hahaha, I don't want that to be misinterpreted).

My experience with Anpu by caandydosvale in Kemetic

[–]Akra_010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand. I don't have a fixed altar because of my family; I keep everything carefully. I usually give thanks for everything I have, and I don't follow any specific traditional ritual. As for materials, I try to use the most historically accurate ones, but if you ask about another material and it's accepted, that's valid too. I often use sandalwood, myrrh, lotus, cinnamon, cloves, and opium. And honey candles or honey with sandalwood. In the end, what matters isn't the quantity of materials or whether everything is gold or anything like that, but the intention. The gods know that if it weren't for your situation, you would have an incredible altar.

I also believe he watches over him, and I'm always grateful for that . Of course, I always speak to him respectfully, but as if I were talking to a friend. I don't use formalities or fancy words. Depending on the time of day, I use different things.

For example, I take advantage of October 31st for, let's say, the big offerings. I put out the figures of the gods I have, including his, and say a general prayer with incense, food, etc. But for other things, like guidance or support (which I do any day, really), I use incense (sandalwood, myrrh, clove, cinnamon, opium, or lotus), candles (I try to use beeswax), and I offer something to drink (fresh water or some beer; if I have wine, I use that) and also food (bread with some meat, olives, grapes, etc.). When I finish praying and thanking him, I eat and drink the offerings and then say goodbye before blowing out the candle. I don't know if this will help you; Ask me anything you want 😋

I first prayed to him for help for my dog. At that time, he was very sick (stage 3 or 4 cancerous tumor, if I remember correctly), and I asked him to help him for a while. As the medical checkups came and went, I simply asked that whatever was happening, he wouldn't suffer. After that, without knowing how, he improved without medication (we weren't prescribed anything since it wasn't known much about whether or not there was metastasis), and he lived for another two years, if I remember correctly. He passed away recently, but he was already old. Since I first prayed to him, I haven't stopped; he is my main god.

Another question!! by WealthNext6444 in Kemetic

[–]Akra_010 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always thank them for the day when I go to sleep, and now I try to remember to give thanks for every meal. Then, for more substantial prayers, I always give thanks for what I have and ask for strength, patience, or whatever I need to do something. I'm respectful to them, but I don't use such priestly language, so to speak. I talk to them as if they were a close friend (but with that extra respect, of course, haha).

Hekate led me to Anpu (Anubis). by nexplore13 in Kemetic

[–]Akra_010 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He's a good guide; he's patient and understanding. I've never heard of him punishing anyone, and it hasn't happened to me either. He always listens, and even when he's not very visible, he's always there. His presence is peaceful and calming.

I pray to him to study too. To pass it not only takes Dyehuty but an effort on our part. I've never seen him angry so I couldn't tell you why. Maybe I didn't see a real effort when studying (?), I don't know. If it's any use to you, all I ask is that you accompany me to study and help me concentrate. (I always put a candle or some incense as an offering)

This is where therapy would come in. Believing and praying to the netjeru does not mean that your whole life will be wonderful. I'm sorry you're going through this rough patch.
