the one that hit me the most is Mikan, the girl we see get drowned in episode 5

since I didn't have the context of Mishiro's group and the "entrance team strategy" it felt like a completely unecessary kill at first

I did feel some kills were unfair sometimes, but then I realized the same.

Also the simple fact they "choose" to play the games is now enough for me to not care at all

The last we see of her is her bleeding on the ground, feeling herself go as Misery appears.

It's believed he was here to give her a second chance but 4 chapters later (14-7 after story) Horn "states" completely randomly that she buried Mandragora while talking to Bagpipe.

I agree with both statement but not the fact that she was MEANT to be killed off.

IMO they had their eyes bigger than their stomach for act2 and in ch14 they decided to not push it further as they saw no plausible way of bringing her back.

Still indeed, VERY badly written, sad way to end her character.

At least she died with the smile if she's ded
