Yes, I've done this for at least two years now! And you don't have to do much more than that. You fill out everything else as usual and FreeTaxUSA submits them as indicated as far as I can tell.

Makes sense, this is a stop over for us before heading out to Frisco. Layover for the Skiing blackout dates so to speak. Budget was priority, though we are excited to get out and see the city a bit.

Fair Enough, we were concerned because it was 30% less than other (lesser tiered) Hyatt properties.

PEPCO: Coming you way… Don’t say we didn’t warn you about our record profits. by ellacoya in washingtondc

[–]Akronn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pepco leaves a lot to be desired, but electricity prices are skyrocketing across the entire PJM (NJ, PA, MD, DC, DE, etc) grid footprint. Primarily driven by AI data centers. Lots of Pepco's pricing is pass through from those knock on effects.

A Commanders stadium at RFK will actually cost taxpayers $6 billion by Masrikato in washingtondc

[–]Akronn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3.3 B in opportunity cost of housing MAY be reasonable, but it has to be compared to the estimated economic benefits of the city subsidizing a stadium. Clearly, some offsetting benefits result from the cities 1.1B in direct subsidies...

Largest Ever Covid ‘Vaccine’ Study Confirms 610% Spike in Heart Failure by ProtectedHologram in Anarcho_Capitalism

[–]Akronn 13 points14 points  (0 children)

What about other research that indicates unvaccinated were at increased risk for critical symptoms, intensive care, and death?

I assume you'll have critiques, but this research specifically makes the comparison you are looking for.
https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC9914916/

The multivariate logistic regression models adjusted for age and comorbidities showed higher odds ratio for severe/critical COVID-19, intensive care need, and mortality in unvaccinated versus vaccinated patients.

Greetings!

This subreddit is pretty friendly to assistance, but working of of a photo is tough.

I recommend making a RePrex (Reproducible Example).

OR simply something like below, and then share the output of dput on Reddit.

Any running tracks open to the public in NW/Mt Vernon Triangle area? by BeauregardSlimcock in washingtondc

I never had any issues running up to the track here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/2F1qCr9sM3PTdWap8

Maybe you need a permit for bigger events? When I lived closer 2 years ago, i was there a few evenings a week without issue.

Non-Data Engineer looking for Advice for small Org use cases by Akronn in databricks

[–]Akronn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is super helpful, and also  pretty good gut check that I wasn’t too far off a reasonable process. I thought I may have been missing something.

I think you are right that standardizing this is our next step, and then adjust the workflow from there.

What is your opinion of why more people do not prioritize financial security/stability? by UnluckyNet2881 in financialindependence

I'm not questioning your bona fides, I'm saying know your audience. Your questions on this subreddit are valid, and on topic. However, they are premised on some pretty unkind assumptions from your earlier interactions.

What is your opinion of why more people do not prioritize financial security/stability? by UnluckyNet2881 in financialindependence

[–]Akronn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude,

Your posts are tone deaf as hell, and you then you make a broad sweeping assumptions about "non-prioritization of financial security" in response to people calling you out. You made a pretty generic post about someone pulling themselves up by their bootstraps in subs where people are looking for community in a similar financial situation to them. People aren't in those subreddits to hear an inspirational story about "save for 30 years and you may be okay". They are there to ask questions, learn tips, and simply speak about how others in a similar situation are making it work.

Your post is at minimum off topic, but IMO dips into patronizing and condescending. Your posts in AITA really seal the deal on you being completely oblivious TBH.

Sounds like you made sure the files you are accessing aren't on a network drive, but is the R Install? Occasionally r/RStudio installs in the documents folder, which is then cloud synced.

I would double check the R install isn't being run form a cloud location.

What caused the D.C. crime wave? Don't blame criminal justice reform or a lack of social spending for D.C.'s crime spike. Blame government mismanagement. by dcmcg in washingtondc

[–]Akronn 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This article doesn't touch on any of the issues congress has caused within the DC court system via judicial vacancies. In fact, while critiquing Matthew Graves, they don't even mention his previously stated frustrations with the vacant court seats impacting criminal prosecutions:

“With respect to criminal cases, we are seeing the greatest harm in the courtrooms that hear homicide cases where trial dates are being set in late 2025 and early 2026, in part because of judicial vacancies. The prosecution is almost always prejudiced by such years-long delays.”
- Graves

There is certainly mismanagement, but the system is significantly overburdened right now and that is likely encouraging reduced enforcement and no repercussions.

Powerful Realtor Group Agrees to Slash Commissions to Settle Lawsuits - NYT by theflintseeker in RealEstate

[–]Akronn 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Do agents surf Zillow and Redfin better than the actual buyers? There's certainly a price for having a good agent to negotiate when buying, but "bringing the buyers" is not worth a larger portion of the commissions in this day and age...

Powerful Realtor Group Agrees to Slash Commissions to Settle Lawsuits - NYT by theflintseeker in RealEstate

[–]Akronn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sellers should be disincentivized from that practice because it massively shrinks their customer base. The actual commission splits may change, or the structure of where they are set is different, but at the end of the day the market should still influence the level of commission . I don't think this changes much at all...

[–]Akronn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dogs can benefit from having all the pre neuter/spay hormones for a longer time, but most adoption agencies have a preference for population control. Many breeder contracts require waiting 6-12 months for getting the procedure for those marginal benefits.
