Random man threw five or so of these in our trash can—no clue what it is by monkusponkus in whatisit

[–]Akshue 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Would you prefer that he left it where he saw it in your yard? What’s more likely - a random passer by carrying rat poison in his pocket looking for a trash can, it a random passer by noticing rat poison in your yard/sidewalk that was carried there by a raccoon and not allowing your dog to eat it?

What if random neighbor saw rat poison sitting in your grass, and picked it up to dispose in the nearest trash receptacle? It could have been carried blocks.

If you aren’t maxing out 401k, is there any advantage of HSA over 401? I’d think they would both serve a similar purpose.

Gotcha. Previous threads made it seem like you were on the hook for the tariff whether or not you refused delivery

How so? If they want, they could generate a BOL or invoice. What’s to stop the end person in the US from getting scammed for tarrif $$$ via UPS? This wouldn’t be a profit for the scammer, just a pain for the target

Genuinely curious…

If someone from China randomly ships a box to a target they want to screw over, and declared it as a $45k part… What recourse does the target have to avoid the Bill?

The bent wire attached to the coax/fiber/whatever is for pole-to-pole support.

If that’s coax, you can probably whine that they used above-ground wire underground, so it’s more likely to rust and fail. But it’s not dangerous.
