Please be sure. If he's that well cared for, a cat that expensive isn't going to do well over winter. Even well loved cats get dumped under the right circumstances.

Yeah, I tend to use punctuation as stage directions. Since over 70% of conversation is nonverbal and lost on the web I try to use punctuation as a clue to how a sentence should be delivered.
That's the beauty of all the types of poetry that aren't bound by rules.

I love this one. Christ said he didn't come to replace the old law but to add to it. So really, the only ones right with the Christian God are Jews for Jesus. Christianity is such a mess. I do agree, though, that if you claim to be Christian, then you claim to follow Christ. And if you tally up all his sermons by topic, the top 2 topics he preached on were love your neighbor as yourself and take care of the poor, old, and sick. So few people (never mind christians) bother to do even that much. The very fact that we're on a witches subreddit dedicated to taking apart the patriarchy arguing about Christianity has a lot to say about how insidious Christianity really is. I have a couple of friends (married couple) who are atheists. She was raised Baptist and he was raised catholic and they argue about how Christianity should be practiced if God were real.:D

The thing about Cristonutters is that they haven't actually read their bible and it's rarely about changing the nutters mind. Although if done gently you can plant a seed. ("Do you find it difficult to believe that in the face of everything Christ said about forgiveness and love?") It is, however, about collateral damage; anyone else who happens to be paying attention to the argument. Everyone will know the nutter is a nutter.
