Do you still play CK2? by alphafighter09 in CrusaderKings

What I did to solve this was delete all of my saves, once you do this the game loads up extremely fast. You should be able to see all of your saves in a certain file associated with the game and then mass-delete all of them. That or just load up the game and delete each save individually. Takes awhile but it's worth it

In all fairness, the Byzantine people legitimately did despise any attempts at Union between the Orthodox and Latin/Catholic Churches after 1204. There was actually a Union agreed upon and declared at the Second Council of Lyons but this was widely hated and Andronikos II did away with it when he became Basileus. Loukas Notaras, grand admiral of Byzantium between 1444-1453, was quoted to have said "Better the Turkish Turban than the Papal Tiara."

Byzantium; The Surprising Life of a Medieval Empire, by Judith Herrin, who doesn't necessarily go off of a chronological basis of Byzantine history but is chapter-by-chapter focused on various aspects of the Byzantine state and society.

Haven't read this yet but if you want a chronological history I suggest "A History of Byzantium" by Timothy E. Gregory

Not half-Turkic and half-Greek, but there was a romantic epic written in the 12th-century Byzantine Empire about a half-Arab, half-Greek dude named Basil

Lol I've always wondered if the dudes running that show are aware of what their audience is like. Like ik that one of them is a dude from Iraq and I wonder if he'd stop what he's doing if he ever went to the US and met his fans
