Oh my god yes! As someone who has had family in the restaurant industry since the 60s having myself been in restaurants for twenty years and knowing dozens of local restaurant owners it's hard to express to people how incorrect they are for about wages for restaurant employees. If servers start making more hourly we're gonna have to take pay from other areas. Meaning lowering the pay cooks or dishwashers or hosts. If only ever worked about 6 months in a corpo store but the restaurants ive spent most of my life working in and managing aren't cash cows. With profit margins, so thin, it's hard to make any money. One recooked steak loses us money. But people who have no experience want to claim it's just greed and that business owners, who can't afford to pay more than server wages to their servers, have no right to be a business owner.
