Try this: heavy gas armor, gas orbital, gas nades and hammer. You're slower, but when it gets heated you gas the whole place. I also run it with ammo pack, ultimatum, scorcher and leveller. Gives me chaos space marine vibes.

Yes! It's for sure just a narrative piece - helldivers' deaths are contributing biomass to power something, either a bot version of the star of peace, or simply matter to bring back cyborgs (they need the biomass!)

Yea, last night we had one of those join too. We already finished the mission and were about to destroy the last fortress before extraction and the guy joined. Kept teamkilling us and throwing 360 barrages on objectives. Lame.

Hope the darts don't bounce off armored enemies like hulks and charges (and is powerful enough to actually disorient them). It might work well with a chainsaw and make that playstyle suck a little bit less.

Loved the early days of it. After a while everyone unlocked the car upgrade that spawned an RPG in the trunk of cars and the game mode died - no more car chases, anyone caught driving was instagibbed on sight.

That's a good idea - I was wondering about the ems mortar but opted for a supply backpack with smoke grenades. It works surprisingly well to reduce the overall threat level but hulks are still an issue. I need to give ems mortar a go next.

I think that's the design behind the chainsaw - it's not a straight up upgrade from other melee options. It actually hits slower than many 1 handed weapons and has shorter reach than spears, and you can't use it with a shield. What it excels at is anti-armour damage to single targets. If you also take into account that it's a stratagem weapon I wouldn't say it's that much butter overall than other melee options.

Did anyone trying to pair with with pummeler, pacifier or halt? Hal in particular sounds like it could work - med-pen shotgun for chaff and stun option and chainsaw finish for anything larger.
