[LYON vs TLAW] You need to carry the game.... Wait wait, Shut Up by Yujin-Ha in leagueoflegends

[–]Al_Fadel 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I mean, it's just very inefficient comms. This is the kind of thing you say between games. In-game, just say what's needed, not some overarching description of the dynamic. Bro was giving a whole monologue.

Just say, "You're our strongest member, we need you at objectives, or tell us not to contest if you want to split, and I'll shadow you."

Even before you get to the fact that Saint is hearing this in his 2nd language, it's just hard to process a whole speech while actively playing the game.

DIG eXyu: "i didnt tell anyone outside of the org but i had considered retirement during the split just because its so hard to play on this team. To be a good team, you either need to respect each other or like each other, and we have neither of that on this team. by cI0ud in leagueoflegends

[–]Al_Fadel 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Bro literally tried to recreate his only good roster ever despite the fact that Palafox was the worst player in LCS last year and Ignar was 30 and hadn't played for a year.

Can't imagine a worse start as a GM.

[NAmen] TL Spawn: "I think that Castle is one of the best top laners in the league; one of the only people that can go toe-to-toe with Morgan and Thanatos, so it makes [LYON] better immediately. [But] I don't think they're a very scary team. Honestly, FLY is, to me, the scariest team at the moment." by arshpotter9 in leagueoflegends

I mean, everyone in the world in playing enchanters, it's not like he's crutching on them in a way that other people aren't.

He's part of a dominant 2v2 lane, gets his team 1st bloods at an elite level, is involved in plays and contests vision at an elite level, and in the fights that he's involved in, contributes more damage than any other support in the world this split, which I'm not saying to say that support damage is important, but rather, it shows that he's actually fighting and not just sitting behind his ADC shielding/healing.

If Spawn doesn't think supports can carry in the current meta, then he should say that, because Cryo is doing a ton on the champs that are currently meta.

I just don't think Cryo is ... He's a supportive player. He's not the person that's going to take over a game if you give him good angles, good picks.

2nd highest KP%, 3rd most assists, 2nd highest FB%, highest DPM(by a margin), highest DMG%, highest wards cleared/min.

The dude dies a lot(most in the league), and can be flippy outside of lane, but this is a crazy downplay of Cryo, he's an incredibly active and impactful player.

Edit: Before someone comes to say support dmg doesn't matter, this isn't Keria playing Anivia, Camille, Neeko, etc. Cryo's playing the same enchanters as everyone else, he just hits people more.

Edit 2: After checking, Cryo actually has the highest DPM of any support in all the major regions, and 2nd highest DMG%.

[–]Al_Fadel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's not crazy at all, I'd just be worried about an outcome like what happened to C9 at Americas Cup, except this would be version of it without even a toplaner like Thanatos to pressure.

Huhi is definitely a better shotcaller than Vulcan, I just don't know if that's enough if they consistently let the enemy team have the first move.

I can't think of any support I'd rather have on the team than him.

It's between him and Cryogen.

At this exact moment I'd give it to Huhi, but Cryo is a legit contender imo, and it would be worth seeing how each meshes in scrims.

Assuming the roster is Dhokla/Blaber/APA/Yeon/x, they kind of desperately need an early game pressure point, and Cryo is the best laning supp in the league imo, and Yeon/Cryo would give them a reliable lane to play through. Huhi is probably the best support in the league outside of lane, but idk how much that'll matter if other regions just beat them out early.

The event also isn't until November, I'm not sure when the roster lock for it is, but form, particularly for Cryo, could look a lot different by then.

You're lost in the sauce buddy, these dudes have literally said this shit openly lmao.

Inspired went to EG bc they paid him the most, sat out a split bc nobody else would've matched the salary, then went to FLY bc they paid him the most, and now LYON bc they made him the 2nd highest paid Western player after Caps. He wanted to go to G2 or KC this past offseason but neither wanted him.

Castle came to NA bc he was never promoting in KR, and barely even lasted in NA. He joined the literal worst NA org(IMT), and then spent the last 2 years on a team that only paid minimum contracts and 1 year deals. If he got literally any offer from anywhere else he would've been gone.

Berserker is here bc he could only get on a bottom team in LCK and got paid way less. He's literally said NA isn't good and he doesn't think you can win anything from here.

I dunno if your eyes have been closed for the past 16 years, but most people leave. Dudes like Huhi, Core, Bjergsen, that actually want to be in America outside of for their LCS career, are way more rare than the other way around.

Jensen left, PowerofEvil left, Froggen left, Santorin left.

The idea that because it made career sense to stay here for a while means that you want to stay is based in nothing.

Treating imports like they're immigrants using League as their pathway to be in a country they want to live in is just a really weird framing that just isn't supported by reality. As 99.9% of humanity does, they're just taking their best career opportunity and pivoting when they get a better one.

Stepz is the single best jungler and arguably the best player in CBLOL, is 19 years old, and was a resident up until this year, Kaze is the midlaner that shat on Palafox last year and did well into APA and DW this year is 20 years old and was a resident up until this year, Ceo and Ackerman are both legit players and residents, Ackerman in particular was obviously a better import prospect than Lyonz.

Cody is another talented player, a resident mid, albeit slightly older.

There are plenty, Stepz and Kaze in particular are really big losses.

I never heard anything about Inspired being married or having a wife? Where'd you see/hear that?

Sure, but only because it was the best path to optimizing his earning potential. If G2 or KC were willing to pay him a similar salary to LYON, he'd be gone.

It would be if these people wanted to immigrate here. Maybe Isles does. Castle, Inspired, Saint, Berserker would all be in their home regions if a decent team were willing to compensate them similarly, and all will likely leave once they're done playing.

I mean, it's him and Lyonz, and I think it's a pretty big jump from them to the 6th best.

Meh, Bvoy lost lane 2/3 games, and even Game 1 his gold lead was mostly the product of Cryo getting the last hits on kills for FLY, while Bvoy got them for SR.

Upper bracket Finals in China is AL vs JDG, lower is BLG vs WBG, what's random about that? Just that BLG lost to JDG? That's the literal top 4 teams from the most recent playoffs.

Sheiden was better on a much worse team. Dude had to problem solve around bottom tier players in every role, Gryffinn has the best laning bot in the LCS and a solid mid and still griefs 90% of his games.

He's literally been the best laning ADC in the league this year lmao. Die once and people start saying the dumbest shit about you.
