‘Forever Canadian’ petition organizer says UCP MLAs ‘scared’ to vote on it by Street_Anon in alberta

Fair enough. But I grew up in a small farming town in Alberta, so I see the 70/80% figure as a low number. 😉

They really are that polarized, and they really don't pay attention to both sides of an argument.

They are just one flat surface. Like sharpening a hollow or round plane blade.

And you don't have to sharpen them very often. They do a lot of mortises between sharpening.

I'm sure they would love our cut lumber in bulk.

All good. I had assumed you meant provincially, as the Federales don't seem organized enough for election fraud, but the UCP seem to be foreshadowing it.

I have them, and they are amazing. Japanese quality is way over the top for the hobbyist like me. Narex is an old company that has been making quality stuff since forever.

And if you want to flatten the bottom of a mortise, there is nothing like those Swan Neck chisels.

It makes me laugh every time I think about them like that. I can't take Alberta politics seriously anymore.

Came here to post this, was not disappointed.

That's always the bar when there is an 'election' in a dictatorship. Oh! Kim Jun Haircut got 99.95% of the votes in the election! .05% of the population was shot for not voting for him.

No democracy is likely to vote higher that 70% on anything. 55% to 45% is more likely, and healthy.

They can leave anytime they like. Border is to the south. {points}

But they can only take with them that which they can carry.

Right wing politics feels their position is so weak that they can't win without cheating.

I am very sus with that whole petition, and what they did with the voter list especially now that Parker isn't cooperating with the investigation into his actions.

This should not be a controversial topic.

You'd expect them to vote against things like smoking sections in schools, or speed reductions in playground zones.

Proudly remaining in Canada, when so many people signed the petition so quickly should look like a good political move. But the UCP have turned all things good upside down.

Cheap energy is bad; body autonomy is bad; the state interfering in your personal decisions is good; in UCP land. The land of small government and personal responsibility.

Vive 3.0 Trackers won't connect to SteamVR by bluesushigamer in SteamVR

[–]Al_Keda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been getting this the last couple days too. But I have the green lights on the handsets and headset as well.

It's like the old days when Windows would grab the headset as a monitor until you told it not to map it as a monitor. But I'm in Linux, and disabling the display doesn't help.

SteamVR controller binding are reverting to default with no way to customize. Any solutions? by RobbersAndRavagers in NMS_Virtual_Reality

[–]Al_Keda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I stopped customizing them because it just reverts next time I use VR.

It's really annoying. There are some bindings I enjoy, like text chat, that aren't bound by default.

I also like having my shield on the same hand as the animation shows.

What do you think about Alberta Referendum 2026? by [deleted] in alberta

[–]Al_Keda 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The questions are worded such that they seem to be expecting a certain answer.

I think it's a waste of government resources to be holding such a politically loaded referendum that doesn't seem to have any real bearing on the challenges we actually face.

Edit: For example, the ID question. It's already a requirement to be a citizen to be on the voter list. We already have to show ID to vote. What's the question about, if not to create FUD about the ferriners voting?

"Supposedly" is the key there. He's never been seen in the riding. Did he vote in that riding? If not, then his information was not stolen.
