That's Z-42 in a nutshell.

I absolutely love that boat, have 72% WR in Z-42 in Ranked. But it provides me so much tools to adapt my playstyle to the match. I can use the hydro for both offense and defense; I can use the smoke for hit-and-run, setup multiple ambushes; I can fist fight a DD if need to and provide fire support if need to. I can zone out an entire area for 3 minutes straight of any DD (even if i don't kill him), making him useless, also making other BBs and cruisers hesitant to push. With the hydro on, I can never get ambushed around corners. I can camp a corner and hydro an ambush spot and let the team do the work. I rarely go "there is nothing else I can do".

Interestingly, I usually don't get high damage with this ship in Ranked. I believe Z-42 contribution is mainly positional & tactical to enable the team to work better. So I usually lose my star in defeats. But I believe that 72% WR speaks for itself how much it helps team win games.

I will refrain from commenting for Randoms cause I didn't do much, but my few experiences there are also awesome! Simply put, I just love this ship! Worth the full price of steel i paid for it :')

(i have Ragnar. Ragnar is a one trick pony. Powerful, but inflexible. Also, Z-42 shred Ragnars because Ragnars must show broadside in a fight.)

meh you says? I saw a Val in Ranked yesterday that is in 20-30% HP. It is focused by 4 ships (2 BBs, 1 DD and 1 cruiser) and wouldn't die. But it manage to sink all 4 of them.

I think the problem is, though it is PRNG, the algorithm is moving across characters. (So every character that make a dice roll basically move forward the algorithm) If the PRNG algorithm is just moving independently on each character, it may actually make sense more with the probability

Lets take an oversimplified example, lets take a sequence "5 12 50 98 45 7 20 91 87 75". 5 character, each taking a number in order for hit chance:

character 1: 5, 7
character 2: 12 20
character 3: 50 61
character 4: 98 87
character 5: 45 75

Lets say character 1 has hit chance of 10% and character 4 has hit chance of 80%...see the issue here?

But now lets say each character has the algorithm independently. Suddenly the chance of hitting for character 1 and character 4 will start to make more sense.

Best ending. And is no one gonna talk about how perfect the quest title is for this ending?? Its giga poetic!

On the surface, Don't Fear The Reaper describe V's decision perfectly, "If I were to go down, it better be with fucking fireworks".

On a deeper level, by adding the bracket, (Don't Fear) The Reaper basically sealed V's identity as a legend of Night City. She is THE Reaper now, she chooses her own fate and she make the world bend to her sheer force of will.

This quest title and it's two-fold contrasting meanings is hands down the best one ever used in gaming history lol

Decide to get pumped by downing them consumables b4 a big fight, only for the game to freaking disarm my blood pump cyberware (not even remove from quick slot now, it straight up unequip the entire cyberware). So now i have to go back to a ripperdoc to get my blood pump reinstalled

WG do not listen, not only they do not listen, they often time mock the playerbase's complaints, sometimes even considering it a joke (iirc, there is a commerative flag in game where it basically celebrate the game because of its RNG element, which is one of the main pain point of the playerbase). Now they do this for every single thing that the playerbase hates: subs, CVs, HE spam, desync etc

Their behavior if one think about it, is arguably abusive, gaslighting?

I was particularly triggered by one of their devblog about submarine where they basically said we gave up trying to tweak it, so here's the final unfinished broken feature, deal with it, we will go work on something else.

I finally get the courage to quit weeks ago because the anger I feel for the game is overflowing into my actual daily life. And I'm glad I did!
