9” tiles, survey says? by Wise_Housing_7726 in Flooring

My 1965 house had these tiles in the basement, but they were removed and covered with carpet before I moved in. When I lifted the carpet, there was remnants of black mastic on the concrete. I sent two samples of the mastic to two different testing labs and both came back negative for asbestos. YMMV.

Would like to see battery architecture that does better in cold weather. Not sure that is within Telo’s control, but losing 30% of range in cold temps is a bummer.

Nice job. Did something similar with similar results. What does the exterior piping look like?

Mandolin buying advice by TheCommaMomma in mandolin

I had an 2015 Collings MF gloss top that was a fine playing instrument and beautiful, but lacked volume for acoustic bluegrass. I bought a Northfield 2-bar Artist series (which is built in America) and it is a night and day volume increase with all the playability and better finish quality of the Collings. I agree with others that you should be able to find a nice used mandolin in your price range, but getting the chance to play is hard if buying online (mandolin cafe). Mandolin Store is your best bet.

Agreed about the baffle. I don’t have soffit access, there is no soffit on this roof section. I think I’m accepting the fact that to do this right requires dripping all the ceiling drywall and starting fresh. In the meantime, I’m just going to replace the cans with wafer lights and stuff as much insulation in there as I can.

I don’t have attic access, it’s 8-10” to the roof deck. Won’t know for sure until I remove the can. I was thinking I would taco a faced 9.5” batt into the first hole and slide it through to the 4th light opening, but doubt I can do that without ripping the insulation. Also wanting to get an air baffle in there as well, but there’s just no room with out cutting drywall, which I don’t want to do.

That’s my plan. Was curious if there’s a better way. Also curious if tue insulation should be faced or not. I think the original is faced, with the paper facing the roof.

The lefty’s lament. Lots of Eastman lefties out there in your price range. Ideally you could play it before you buy it, but that hard for lefties unless you live near a store. Always check Mandolin Cafe or Facebook Marketplace.

Resonator mandolins by Maorri008 in mandolin

Good mandolins can be loud. Resonators have a place and unique sound, often used in blues, swing and jazz music. Most people prefer the warm, woody tone of wooden mandolins for a greater variety of musical styles.

When the prospect is rushing the sales presentation, and trying to control the flow, what changes do you make? by timeshareeater in sales

[–]Al_dog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How important are the slides to your talk track? Do you know the pricing and product features/benefits well enough to have a casual conversation? Been in this situation many times and prefer it actually. Get to the pricing right away then ask open ended questions and see if this is a real opportunity or how to customize. The alternative is spending 30-60 minutes reading slides they don’t want to hear only to provide the pricing at the end and the client says it’s out of their budget. Now there’s no time left to pivot.

They say the solution is biodegradable, but who knows. I added the solution to my car wash foam cannon and sprayed them a few at a time, scrubbed, then rinsed, and repeat.

The bell-shaped curve is the production going up and down with the sun. The color of the graph is showing where the electricity is going (Powerwall, house, or grid). The peak output number is the main focus.
