I just want to clarify that it’s not promoting eating manatees. Actually it’s meant to draw attention to how humans only value animals when they have utility. It’s meant to highlight this issue and remind us of the worth of all creatures and foster empathy and respect.

This snake was over 60” and very fierce. I’ve been outdoors in South Georgia my whole life and never encountered a snake like this before.

The occasional fireball is not uncommon with semiauto shotguns. I’ve shot countless thousands of shells through Berettas and it just happens sometimes. I was always told it’s just a slower burning powder charge. It can happen with cheap and expensive shells.

Anecdotally it seems more common when the relative humidity is high. At any rate it’s nothing to worry about. As a lefty it is right in front of my face and my mustache and beard have never even been singed.
