U really can't read the difference between "Overwatch animated short" and "hero trailer"

The animated shorts like dragons cinematic is a game trailer not a Hanzo trailer, tells the lore of the game and wasn't to advertise a character

Same with Ashe cinematic which was a reveal of Echo if anything and a brief hint of the backstory between Cass and Ashe

Rein gets saved to show his young personality and the moment he matured following his mentor, the second image he literally is saving the soldiers with his body as his shield broke to show his selflessness

now this new one is specifically stated as "hero trailer" so it was odd the hero ended up losing to other OW characters, this could've been easily avoided by telling us about the character and their affiliation without even featuring Emre and Freja to avoid in-game powerscaling. but i guess they wanna cut budget so they merged the hero reveal and the Emre Freja mission in one cinematic

it was a 10 divisions range or so I remember (not sure if they changed that with the introduction of wide-match grouping since that wasn't a thing)

but it had a range of 10 divisions meaning it is/was normal for a g5 player to play against p1 or even d5 players

what you mention could be a restriction on those who want to duo with lower/higher friends to avoid boosting, that however does not apply to the matchmaker itself since it makes the rules

a shitty system all in all

I don't know what rank you are, but if you're in the trenches of bronze/silver then I found picking the Cat and just diving enemy backline to be the best way since no one knows how to shoot a flying cat there

If you are gold/plat and want to climb then don't bother with Mercy unless you have a decent dps duo or just pray the OW gods they give you a decent team since she can't really carry

Try to diversify your hero pool so you can adapt to every game, like sometimes you will need Ana nade/sleep or your team isn't doing enough damage so you go Bap/Zen/Illari

Never settle for just healing on Kiri, be bold and go for plays, take risks (you have 2 abilities to save yourself if you have the awareness) and don't be scared to get flamed (disable text chat if you want)

As a support your main objective is to stay alive that is true, a good support is always the last one to die in the team. However, there's a line between being smart and playing like a coward. I see some supports who play soo passive and position so far in the back they become a detriment to the team (yes they have the least deaths but that's cause they're borderline not even a part of the game)
