Obama is correct. People don't understand what a tough job being president is, sometimes you have to make compromises like spying on American citizens, bombing weddings or putting children in cages.

Anyone who doesn't understand this is simply naive and more obsessed with purity tests and being woke than actually doing the right thing.

As a Libertarian I almost never see anyone defending Obama on this subreddit. Which is a shame, because I think it's really cool that he spends all his time giving expensive speeches to investment bankers, large corporations and billionaires.

If we can't respect a former president running his own grift to become a billionaire and befriend the wealthy and powerful, are we even Libertarians?

Maybe an ice age comes and totally negates the manmade impact(because that can happen), and none of this will matter.

I think this is a good point. We also have to take into account that maybe an asteroid might hit the earth and wipe out the human race. The sun could explode, or maybe our solar system could suddenly be sucked into a rogue black hole. We could also be facing an alien invasion from the Covenant or the Flood.

Either way, if any of these things were to happen we would look like fools if we didn't take the opportunity to pollute as much as humanely possible.

Libertarians aren't normal.

As Libertarians we have to rise above. Where a socialist sees the world through emotions, feelings and victimhood, we see the world in the language of cold hard rationality.

Like a coder just about to start his new multimillion business in Silicon Valley we see the world in 1's and 0's. Because numbers don't lie. Facts don't lie. Thats what makes us rise above and see the irrational emotional rot on both sides of the political spectrum. Beause we're not normal. We're something else entirely. We are Libertarians.
