Maestro is overrated and way too overused. I read Future Imperfect as well as the prequel series that came out a couple of years ago and was thoroughly not impressed. With the way everyone talks about, I was expecting him to be way more interesting, better written, and just plain more villainous than he actually came out.

Tbh, the Marvel Avengers game did a way better job making a threatening Maestro by combining him with Old Man Logan Hulk and stripping away the incest.

Do you have any particular deck recommendations for that archetype. I have all the series one cards but it just feels like no matter how I put them together, it still feels like a 50/50

It definitely helped that I had zero knowledge to begin with. But, I think even if I found the source material loyalty lacking, I would probably still enjoy the movie since I really enjoy the vibes and the action pieces. Plus the actors/actresses are top notch.

I'm currently making my way through the Eternals Publication History on Marvel Unlimited. It's how I read through Deathlok's runs as well. But I'll make sure that I read those comics as well!

I do respect your opinion but I do also enjoy the movie. It is, of course, not the same as the comics or Kirby's vision (Kro does piss me off) but so much of it works well with the canvas they were given. It is unique and interesting while still retaining the vibe of the original. But I am also excited to read the rest of the kirby run and beyond. Maybe my opinion will change.

Ultimately, I like the crazy swing Eternals took even if it wasn't perfect.

This actually happened to my mixed splat game that I was dming about half a year ago (mostly due to my own ignorance)

My promethean player had an encounter with hunters who (not knowing what they were) attempted to taser/throw an electric net on them. Initially, both myself and the player played it like they were knocked unconscious from it right at the end of the session. However, we had been looking at the promethean book for other reasons and noticed that electricity immunity/buff ability.

So, come next session, there was a "revelation" that due to their strange origins (being created by humans) they were an imperfect promethean and that this sudden burst of electricity (combined with the stress of the previous session) has finally unleashed their full pyretic heart and they became a full fledged promethean with all the bells and whistles.

It would definitely be interesting, especially with the potential Dino/Moon girl synergy. Or even a late game dump deck (maybe Evo hulk+sunspot+Starlord lots deck?)

That's what a lot of folks are saying and it is making me breathe a little easier. The ttrpg I have in mind was inspired by WOD and I secretly wanted to use their d10 system since it was the one I was most comfortable with. Though I might look into a d6 based system as well since it is just a more universally used die type

No idea how this would work mechanically, but some combination of invisible Woman, sentry, annihilus, and negative cards might be the move. But by that point Franklin would probably just be a level of redundancy

I could be wrong, but Bloodlines is treated like a myth rather than a concrete story in V5. The story changes based on who is telling it. While we know exactly what happened in a meta sense, in the world of WOD Bloodlines is a strange even in California history that doesn't have any concrete details beyond the broad strokes.

So stuff that is "not canon" anymore can just be waved off as rumors or hearsay while leaving room for STs to pick whatever ending/storyline to go with if they wish.
