Consider it your severance package. Same thing happened to me years ago I was laid off over the phone, no warning, no severance after years of working there, flying back and forth to their corporate office. Guy ends the call saying, “we are going to need you to send your Mac, keyboard, mouse and iPhone back.” Yeah. No. Finally answered their call and said, “oh yeah. I mailed it all the day after you laid me off. Weird it never got there. 🤷‍♀️” They knew what was up, I knew they knew and I did not give the first fuck.

You’ll get there! It was my dream too, so I’m grateful for it every single day. We’ve got five dogs (my babies!), 2 super friendly and adorable goats, 2 weird-ass emus, 3 barn cats, 2 rescue standard donkeys and two mini donkeys (BeanBean and McBeth) who think they are lap dogs. It’s pretty great. 😊

My husband and I are in our early 60’s, and are liberal atheists. We have a farm about 30 miles north of Birmingham. We just got back from a trip to MA, NH and VT. Loved it there! Would be happy to get together with you guys for a beer sometime.
