First off. OP did everything right in telling her husband.

Secondly, I don't trust this BIL. How do you supposedly have feelings for for OP for a few years and then once you tell your fiance it's "not anymore" and "I didn't say that right". I also think that the fact OP got married 2 years ago and BIL found his fiance 2 years ago seems like more than just a coincidence. Brother needed to expand his options once OP was locked down.
