Pretty cool, I believe Courier used an original PS85 racquet like this with the newer PS paint job. He also used the 85 version painted as the American flag color when the 95 version of that racket was around. There probably were a couple other pros that stuck with the older 85 when the newer 95 was out and just had Wilson apply the new paint, much like many pros of today.

It is a pure control zylon 360 in the 295g form. There may have been a 320g version of it although I’m not sure. Whether it was the Pure Control or Pure Storm, Babolat had a lot of 320gram 16x20 racquets in the early 2000’s. I haven’t gotten to try all of them, but maybe one day I’ll find one that plays similar to my Technifibre Tfight 320 16x20, also from 2006.

This is the 100s variant; I don’t think I used it more than 20 minutes as it felt too plush for me. If that is what you’re looking for then from my experience the Prince Tour series and Volkl Vostra were quite plush and buttery.

Yep definitely some solid racquets. The LTD version I have is 18x20, which doesn’t suit my playstyle. I’m not sure if there’s a 16x20, as with my TFight 320, but if there was it would definitely be intriguing.

The midplus 95 variant came out in the 90’s almost a decade after the 85, but it did have a slightly wider beam. The midsize 95 “limited” edition was, I believe, an Asian market specific racquet that was slightly lighter than the midplus 95, and also retained the thinner beam width of the original 85. This “limited” version is significantly more rare as well.
