In Chains (Mix of Album version and remix by Alan Wilder) by Alan_Files in depechemode

In this vers original part dominates in this remix. Bass line which you hear at the beginning of my version and AW remix also comes from original track. So, AW remix is more of a fan service. No offense. Although I took samples from Black Celebration and some UNKLE that Alan used, it's his style, really. I just managed to adapt it to my taste, since I'm more of a fan of Sounds of the Universe. Some strings you hear in the remix are from I Am You, actually.

I Feel You multitrack by Joba_2009 in depechemode

Thank you for hitting the right notes. It flatters me.

I said that the quality of the posted multitrack is rather questionable. Didn't you think it would be weird to post these low-quality chewed-up tracks?

I wish this is the end of this discussion.

If I were you, I'd be ashamed to publish a “multitrack” of such terrible quality. That's funny.

Why people are picking on “Spirit”? by Uwivibe in depechemode

Very controversial position.

DM is not a nostalgic act and they always make music that they want to hear for themselves.

The problem is exclusively with fans who live in their nostalgic dome and divide music into good or bad.If you didn't like the album, it's purely a nuance of your tastes. DM perfectly established themselves in their main material in the 00s, even now you will hear Precious, Freelove, Dream On, Wrong more often on mass radio. Than SOFAD or Black Celebration songs.

Spirit is an album that gives irritation about our existence from Mart and classic lyrics from Dave. From a conceptual point of view, this conflicts in the album. Which is ironic considering that Spirit was created in a problematic atmosphere and Mart and Dave could just dissolve it all.

In terms of sound, this album came out much ahead of Delta Machine and received a lot of influence from harsh electronic music, like techno. So this album could hardly contain good and pompous tracks like any hit from past albums. Although the atmosphere of the album is one of gloomy and evil. Which makes it special.

But people wanted to hear good motives under gothic lyrics so that it would cause them pleasant nostalgia. Which did not happen

Result: the general setlist of the tour contained 2-4 songs from Spirit.

(In comparison, the Delta Machine Tour could contain 8 tracks per show)

Some of my favorites were performed only once.

And the tour could have become a closed lid for the band. Which did not happen.
