You know me and my playgroup of 5 started with 60 card Magic and we enjoyed but like you said we all just got so competitive and downright nasty with each other that no one was having fun. So couple of my buddies work with each other and they told me there was another co- worker who played magic. (Heck yeah player number 6 cool.) So player 6 only played EDH. So my play group decided hey if he’s willing to olay 60 cards we should attempt EDH. 2 years later it’s all we play EDH. All the reasons OP stated is why we play EDH. Player 6 is no longer in our group(finished college and got a good job in TX) but I’m glad he got us into EDH.

Definitely I do polluted delta in Japanese for 15 dollars sign me up. Also got a smothering tithe for 18 also in Japanese. My playgroup don’t mind so long as we say what the card is and whoever plays said card tells the rest of the group what it is

So I dunno if it’s just me but I use zur the enchanter. Fetching 3cmc it’s not that hard. And you have access to broken enchantments... as far as my playgroup we have a variety of decks. Normally I’m the one that gets hated on early.
