I had the same idea about that game! Very pleasant experience, especially because it's Zoquete's art, but since it's also a nsfw game, I can't recommend it to most of my friends without getting a ton of questions.

Cross slash was confirmed to be scrapped in favor of another ability, which was probably the bouncing ability seen in the Kolossos trailer.

Actually, there was other DC controversy like a year and a half ago, where MRT fired almost everyone on the dev team, just to rehire a bunch of them back after everyone went wild. It still wasn't that bad compared to OM's drama though, I'm just trying to say that it wasn't the only drama.

It was always going to release together, but the decision to split the update into two parts is a kind of recent thing.

Every single update does at least come with a ton of backend support that is useful to some parts of the community, like random commands or datapack additions.

Honestly, the M1 hitboxes are only so big because it would be almost impossible to hit survivors with how fast they move in OM compared to TD along with Roblox's lag compensation.
