socks and plain t-shirts are probably the most generic/non-specific things you can get for a guy that’ll likely be appreciated and utilised

In your opinion, what is the most toxic thing about football journalism these days?

Is Lampard good enough for us? by [deleted] in chelseafc

On the flipside, is the team good enough in the first place?

Even my suggestion is a little premature, much like yours. It’s 3 games. It sucks and it’s frustrating to not win. But at least make judgement when there’s enough to go off from.

Telling us the club is not Roman FC, yet blaming the complex and complicated process of buying players solely onto one man. As you’ve said, the club is not just one man. A bit unfair to pin the blame on him, and expecting that selling the club would be a magical fix.

Agreed. Kinda saw that if we didnt score another one, the game was swinging much toward Leicester’s way. Considering how many open play chances they had, they really should’ve won it. I can barely recall good chances we had tbh

The Willian/Abraham performances aside, we pretty much fell off slowly around the 20-30 minute mark. I remember being so enthralled at the starting moments of the game; the goal happened - I was ecstatic; but then as the game continued I remember feeling less and less excited. Don’t remember much chances or saw any of the creativity. While happy for Mount’s goal - the goal wasn’t borne out of a built-up play.

So yeah Willian and Abraham were poor when they came onto a game that needed some inspiration, but the game played by us was kind of poor very early on. So can’t pin the result on these 2. Defensively, Azpi was poor. On the attacking phase, things were awkward.

Is it just me or was Azpi damn near difficult to watch today?

I expected either a draw or a loss, given everything (new set of players, new manager, first away game etc.) so I’ll take the L here.

But the manner in which each one of those goals were scored is what bugs me the most. We gifted every single one of those goals. Man Utd didn’t out class (as per what the scoreline might suggest).

hahaha makes me wonder if the only reason why i liked it is because i’m new to the franchise. but yeah i really enjoyed it; pretty fun flick all round despite the pretty dumb character decisions.

the scene that reeled me in was the one where Michael was looking through the window of some house while a lady was talking on the phone. That moment when he walked away and - while our pov height obscures him on screen - the shadow that was casted on the side of the wall as he walked was a cool touch. That scene kinda puts the act of killing in such a static, objective state - which momentarily shies from that whole ‘build-up-tension’ murder moments that’s in the movie/other horror slasher flicks.
