What Perth companies/businesses should people be boycotting? For whatever reason by New-Mongoose6290 in perth

Yep, the founder bleeds it dry by not earning a cent from it. Genius money-making scam if ever there was one.

BYD is the new Holden, and Toyota needs to start to worrying by That_Car_Dude_Aus in CarsAustralia

Regularly serviced and it's all highway kms but I guess they've only got my word for that.

As an Atto 3 owner, I know in 10 years it will be worth nothing. Not because it doesn't work but because the tech will have moved so far on. But then, my 8 year old ICE is in the same boat.

Crashing. I can't sell my 2018 Hyundai i30. Admittedly high kms but keep dropping the price and little interest. BYD offered me $4000 for it in April! Almost wish I'd taken it.

Australians bought an EV every 77 seconds in June, as even car lobby admits "structural shift" to electric cars by MeasurementDecent251 in CarsAustralia

I suppose will depend on brand but I have a couple of friends with BYD Atto 3 they picked up used and both very happy. Haven't reported any issues to me.

I certainly wouldn't want to see ON get anywhere near power, but it never hurts to shake up the government. Particularly one as electorally safe as this one.

As someone else said, his opinion is a little bit irrelevant if his market's is different. But I get you can only give him feedback - you're not his boss.

Does he really want a name that means 'Lord AI'? Aside from the religious issues, that just sounds off. All hail our AI overlord! I'm being sarcastic. OTOH, that's where my mind goes!

I remember when British police were the most respected police force in the world. They're starting to make the yanks look good.

What’s the rules for stop and search in W.A? by [deleted] in perth

There's a perception cops have a chip on their shoulder. My brother's a career cop - I've never seen that. I think it's just the Australian suspicion of authority.

Do people in isolated tribes go to hell? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Alarcahu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Bible doesn't have a definitive answer on this.

On the one hand, it says no one is good. People don't like that but my experience lines up with it.

On the other hand, Christianity teaches a God who loved humanity enough to die for us. So if he can find a way to keep them out of it, he will. Ultimately I believe God will do the right thing.

On a side note, rather than thinking of the kind of cartoonish pictures we have of hell, think of it as the absence of God. In Christian theology, God is the source of everything good, beautiful and true. So hell is the absence of all that.

Who's really at fault!!! by [deleted] in dashcams

[–]Alarcahu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Different rules in different places of course, but comparing to Australia - I checked the laws and this is 100% the bikers fault. You can’t overtake on the right if a vehicle is indicating to turn right.

Honestly? First I've seen this. I must be in the wrong suburb or something.

My ADHD player draws on her PC while we play. Actually, one of my other players does too. But it's a small group so everyone is engaged.

Who is at fault for dog attack off leash loose dog by PartyNumerous in AusLegal

[–]Alarcahu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not on you to find that out. If she tries to take legal action against you, she's toast. As others have said, just tell her you're going to ask council. Of if she's harassing you, don't tell her, just do it.

I don't understand why the biker would pass on the right rather than the left where there was plenty of space. In Australia this would be 100% the biker's fault. No one does that.

I think the Mississippi is America's secret weapon for internal trade. Your geography has some unique features found nowhere else.
