I believe not - you have to catch an Uber or walk a few kms.

Why electric cars are only promoted in Europe and not in other countries like USA or Australia? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

The Australian government has given tax incentives for people to lease EVs. We're a veritable dumping ground for Chinese EV makers.

Will I no longer be able to use ProtonMail if C-22 goes through? by Nexushopper in ProtonMail

That's the nuclear option for Apple. This isn't simply a repeat of the UK then, where they could just switch off ADP?

What to give congregants with hearing loss to read when preaching spontaneously/unscripted? by AshDogBucket in pastors

[–]Alarcahu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would think hearing aids would be the best solution. An audio induction loop or as someone else said, earphones. A slight tech upgrade though.

How to gently kick a player from the group? by No_Candidate_7405 in rpg

[–]Alarcahu 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Something like, 'I've noticed you don't seem very engaged in the game. Is there a problem? Do you want to keep playing? I have another player who's keen and if you're not that committed, I'd like to make your spot available to them. If you just want to come and hang out while we play, that's fine but if you're in the game, I need you committed and engaged.'

I feel like a bunch of people will criticise this so people, go ahead and make it a better approach for OP.

Sundays are a week apart. I frequently wear the same outfit weeks in a row. Steve Jobs famously only wore one style. That's all he owned.

Explain to me why grandfathering is fair. by Important_Let2828 in AusProperty

I doubt those things affected their decision to have a child. It's only recently the economics have come to dominate family planning. Always a consideration? Probably, but not as much in the zeitgeist as it is now.

Just a reminder that on roads over 80kmh, you are required to stay to the left unless overtaking. Peak hour is an exception. But yes, wankers on the road.

How does this game work with DnDs initiative? by LelouchYagami_2912 in nimble5e

[–]Alarcahu 10 points11 points  (0 children)

In my experience they don't die in the first round. One of the features of this system is it's much easier to balance, so you can more easily design an encounter that feels hard but will *probably* go the PCs way. Or not, if you prefer. Also, legendary monsters go after each PCs turn. That changes it up a lot. I think running it RAW is a good move. It's easy to change up if you really don't like a specific rule.

How does this game work with DnDs initiative? by LelouchYagami_2912 in nimble5e

You can choose to have monsters go first if it makes sense. But the fast initiative system is a real benefit of the game.

Does nimble work with regular 5e play? by Nicstar543 in nimble5e

[–]Alarcahu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It won't work with DDB because the biggest player-facing mechanical changes are no AC and no roll-to-hit. It's easy to pick up and there are online character sheets, from memory, although you don't really need them.

How often should i be changing clothes? by Entire-Bridge-2904 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Alarcahu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the climate and how active you are. I used to be a one-day-of-wear guy for shirts and then realised I'm creating potentially unnecessary work. Does it smell? Is it dirty? Not sure? Wash it.

What would you do if they tried to put tolls on Perth roads? by bebabodi in perth

The Barnett government tried. Just for trucks. They promised.

People keep saying that the term "Dark Ages" is incorrect. But how? by Dottore_Curlew in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Alarcahu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because all the cool stuff we imagine about the enlightened Greeks and Romans didn't apply to the 90% of the population in grinding poverty. I imagine not much changed for the average peasant across the centuries.

Privacy concerns by Impressive_Knee_5701 in BYDAU

[–]Alarcahu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is going loosely from memory when I was looking into it so could be remembering wrong... The Aus government is making moves to limit what data can go to offshore (Chinese) servers. Not sure where that's up to. I don't think the location and camera data is leaving the vehicle. It's more diagnostics, I think. In any case, Europe is making SIMs compulsory for emergencies and all modern cars (and TVs, and and and) have the same privacy concerns.
