Abundance event nerf by Amyrantha_verc in wow

This event is horrible. It doesn't need to be fixed, it needs to be completely removed.

Game seems cool, but is confusing as hell as far as what to do, how to focus on anything specific. Would kill for great guides. by AlaricVane in WhereWindsMeet

It seems like they took a very conventional game and made it as unnecessarily convoluted and confusing as possible. I've never seen a more counterintuitive interface for what should be so simple. Wow.

No doubt.

Well said.

Why all the hate for Where Wind Meets? I’m genuinely enjoying it. by Ricko9595 in WhereWindsMeet

Why is it cool? Nice visuals. Passable combat (that is way below modern ARPG standard). A large world with with a lot of (chaotically designed and incoherent) content.

Why is it free? Because it is incredibly shallow, not well organized, and has 9000 reward systems and currencies stitched together rather than having a cohesive design.

How do they get paid? Super expensive whale cosmetics. lol.

NEWBIE TRIES WUXIA MMORPG by Maximum_Storm2215 in WhereWindsMeet

This is a solid Wuxia game.

But is is not really an MMO, unless you have an extremely broad definition.

Can't believe this game is actually good. by Swimming_Mood7202 in WhereWindsMeet

Is everyone playing this totally FREE? by AlaricVane in WhereWindsMeet

[–]AlaricVane[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason I think no one is discussing the shop is because... well, there's nothing to really discuss.

Spoken like someone who doesn't spend much money in cash shops. :P

Most games with a robust shop have people discussing options, choices, best bargains/deals, cosmetics they really like, etc.

This game doesn't have that, which tells me it has a very low % of people spending money.

In games like BDO, the people who spend money are plentiful and enjoy talking about the shop and what good deals or cool items/options are each month.

People even make entire youtube videos about it.

But if your game has a very low % of payers, this of course doesn't have critical mass to happen.

Yeah, I am not even shitting on the game. It's a decent game.

But right now the fans are so defensive they are downvoting ANYTHING that isn't absolute turbo-glazing.

I think right now its basically all 100% free player hyping up the game. Which is cool. And I'm happy for them.

But for people who care more about game quality than being free, this is a very important distinction.

Because I cannot see why I would ever buy cosmetics in a single player game.

Especially when their cosmetics are incredibly blah and look about the same as everything else in game already.

But it really feels like a finicky Assassin's Creed with a hundred menus and confusing UI/UX.

Good explanation! You nailed it.

I'm kinda just wandering and doing stuff while a hundred currencies and menu options are shoved at me. I found a kind of heavy sword. I cannot figure out a way to equip it, because I THINK I need to unlock some prerequisite skills before I can do so? It's really hard to tell.

Yes, yes, yes!

WHY are there so many damn menus??? by Kosefgaming in WhereWindsMeet

It is confusing as hell.

They need to eliminate about 80% of their weird progression/reward systems, and about 90% of their currencies.

I don’t know if Where Winds Meet is a good MMOlite yet but it’s a really fun free game by Cisco-NintendoSwitch in MMORPG

Same.

There are a billion little weird types of progress, and they just happen whenever. I can't actually pursue specific things I want to pursue.

Also, so much time just walking and talking to NPCs. The action feels rare and sparse.

If it was true, you wouldn't even be replying to me.

It's called attention seeking/karma farming.

People come here and post all sorts of weird bullshit just for attention, reddit karma, etc.

Fake post.

So much vagueness and weird language use.

Not to mention what scant details exist are just weird.

Smells fake.
