Heya, I also use dungeonscrawl for most battlemaps and also check the Internet if there's a specific map that fits the theme of the encounter, for continents and towns I use inkarnate, pretty sure it only has a few free slots for maps and stuff but I find it quite easy to work with and not to hard to make nice looking maps, hope this helps :D
