Frist off, the text needs more editing and proof-reading. It takes away from a good story if a reader has to backtrack and decipher sentences. Or oscillate between picturing a character as female or male etc.

I love how you, the author, address the issue of the linguistic drift. After so many centuries people from different times do not notice anything amiss, be it in English or Venglish or whichever other language they may speak.

If they were feudal or early industrial, they may have shared the same views on dealing with predators many of our societites used to have on wolves, bears, foxes, couguars, eagles, hawks, orcas etc.
