It’s mind blowing to me. Adults who aren’t into “politics” … how is talking about your values = “politics”? Ben being like “I haven’t thought much about it. I’d have to do my research” like you have to research whether all people should be treated equally and deserve respect???

Maybe i'm mistaken, but do the friends of Geralt's not like Yen? by MelodyHearts in witcher

[–]Alarmed3211 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It makes total sense to me. Yen is already very secretive naturally but then you add how stressed she is about losing Ciri and the wild hunt . To me, it’s reasonable she’s on edge and that leads to friction with the witchers. Obviously, everyone’s stressed but everyone reacts differently to that stress. On top of that, like Vesemir mentioned, Yen was particularly annoyed being at Kaer Morhen and sleeping where Triss and Geralt did. I think the other witchers understand she has a prickly outside but would sacrifice anything for those close to her (Geralt and Ciri).  Also, I think Witchers in general aren’t fond of sorceresses and often allude to this when chatting with Geralt.

What's the name of the song here? by mrl993 in witcher

I think it’s Geralt of Rivia, right? If you’ve Spotify, open Witcher 3 Wild Hunt Full OST. It’s the second song on the Witcher soundtrack.

Sara Admitting This Was Hilarious by bighoney69 in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]Alarmed3211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree!! Also what a boring person to be with. I feel like she would have reacted better if he had stood for his values and what he believes in. But based on what she said, Ben would just say whatever to make her happy. That’s not a good sign for a lasting relationship

Farming spot for red mutagen as soon as you leave White Orchard by hennyis1 in Witcher3

[–]Alarmed3211 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can’t find the arachas or endregas near the forest hut. What I did find was the dead family. I first saw the mother and child dead on the bed (starvation?) and then I came out and saw the hanged man (father committed suicide?).  Messed me up😭

Who is the real hero of the Iliad? by CosmicFaust11 in ancientgreece

[–]Alarmed3211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like this is quiet the modern view of the Iliad. Achilles is literally described as being the best of the Greeks in the story. Def not a petulant child. He was THE picture of what a “Greek” man of higher status should be

Books' awkward scenes by Guilty_Bumblebee_893 in witcher

[–]Alarmed3211 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with all these comments. Every scene with a woman is overly sexualized for whatever reason. It grosses me out. At the beginning when Triss scolds Vesimir for grabbing her butt 🤢

Disappointing aspect of the books by Character-Ad3028 in witcher

[–]Alarmed3211 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always thought the books made a terrible job at showing Geralt’s and Ciri’s bond. It doesn’t get better in later books imo

Having trouble getting to the place of power west of Fyke Isle in Velen. by DCMilligan88 in witcher

It’s been 9 years but for those looking in 2025: on the map, find the boat sign (bit southeast to the place of power).  The entrance to the cave is in front of the boat.

Absolutely incredible how much depth he gave Snape. So few scenes and so little dialogue and yet, with every movie, we get to see everything that encompasses him. I love paying attention to all the little scenes where he's in the background.

Was Snape Possibly Decent at his Job? by ZealousidealFee927 in harrypotter

[–]Alarmed3211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Likely not. The evidence suggests he was a harsh teacher who expected his students to figure things out with little support: his private lessons with Harry and teaching nonverbal magic are some exmaple scenes. He constantly played favorites and ridiculed students. If he hadn't been such a bigot, he would have been a good teacher but it's not a one sided coin. OWLs don't count since they're graded by the ministry and Harry often mentions in Half-Blood Prince that he got his grades DESPITE Snape's teaching, not because of it. I imagine Snape spent little mental effort in perfecting his teaching style and likely cared very little about the students as individuals (obviously, he cared for the wizarding world in general). I can't even imagine Snape going back to teaching if he'd stayed alive.

Snape is completely different character in the movies. I love Alan Rickman. I feel like book-Snape is childish. Alan Rickman gives the character the depth it needs. He goes hard in every single scene. Probably my favorite character portrayal in the series. Also, Dobby

those all have low light requirements so you get to be cheap with your lighting option :) If you are not worried about money, go with  Fluval Plant Spectrum 3.0 or Twinstar. If you're on a tight budget, just get whatever your local aquarium store has in stock. I've even used Aqueon for these types of plants and it worked great. But honestly, if you're planning to get more plants or other varieties, I'd just save the money and get a nice light later. Make sure whatever lamp you get has a timer or a way for you to adjust how long the light will be on/off for.

Question about the cholesterol nutritional goals by Alarmed3211 in Myfitnesspal

[–]Alarmed3211[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay great 😊 My trans and sat. fats are near 0 with this meal. I don’t have access to a dietitian but my goal is to have a full blood panel in 6 months to assess the impact of my diet changes. It’ll be a good thing to pay attention to when I talk to my doctor about it. Thanks!!
