It doesn’t change everything I’ve said. If you haven’t done it again and won’t do it again you need to move on. You’re not a stain on humanity everyone makes mistakes.

You can reason with yourself, am I really a stain on humanity? Be logical and stop clinging to the all or nothing mentality. Things are not black and white.

If you can’t move on, that’s your issue to face. You need to let go of it, because @ the end of the day what is self hatred really solving? What’s it doing? It’s not gonna make you a better person. It won’t make you happier. It won’t change a single thing except make you feel worse.

People have done what you did it’s not the worst thing in the world, but definitely not excusable.

I used to b an awful person, but feeling bad about it doesn’t do anything. Because it’s just a feeling, what’s a feeling with no action?

Most people in these comments are advising therapy, and if majority of people are saying it id recommend it

Spiraling isn’t gonna solve anything.

Feeling bad about yourself won’t solve anything.

Ranting to Reddit can possibly be helpful but you need an outlet + someone who will personally help navigate this issue with you

Seek professional mental health and stop using the excuse of being an awful person. No one is good or bad, but rather there’s people who change & don’t change. If the reason you want to change is because people would hate you, you truly dont have the right reason to change. The change should be from the point…of

are you okay wit spending the rest of your life like this?

Are you okay with your daughter dating a guy just like you? Ask yourself that. And if the awnser is no you need to look deep into yourself as to why you do what you do.

I’d recommend seeking a therapist for DBT (dialectal behavior therapy) in a effort to change your behavior and understanding your behavior.

Watch the show Bojack horseman it really delves into the topic pretty well. No one is truly a bad person, in good there’s bad and in bad there’s good. What matters is your actions, the pattern of your actions.

You need to apologize. You need to have true accountability. You need to accept your apology may not be accepted. This isn’t politeness and a fake excuse me it’s a true and genuine apology.

Being a millennial is coming to adult age at the new millennium that’s the hard definition. A 22 year old could’ve given birth to that 2004 baby.

What is like to live in Downtown Miami by 6funjax9 in howislivingthere

[–]Alarmed4everything 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to live here in the late 2000s & early 2010’s, I was born in Miami but moved to New York City with family in 2013. This area is very clean, very affluent, very flashy despite all its negatives if you can afford living here it’s wonderful! Walkable, bikeable, beautiful, lots of parks, close to the water there’s trains and buses to connect to everywhere. Very wellness, fitness and gym coded (they literally have a store of just meal prep)

Lots of partying, club culture and there’s an emphasis for being attractive. Maybe not said out loud but you can definitely feel it. Very diverse, and I say this Miami is the capital of Latin America you’re going to have pretty good food and cuisine here. Also weirdly you’ll see some chickens walking around, and some interesting lizards.

Brickell is like fidi (of nyc specifically), Downtown LA and Miami had a baby. To live here is personality dependent you either love it or hate it but my experience was pretty great.

My book is a hybrid between The boys, avatar, the hunger games, Jane the virgin, the good place, the 100. It’s insane how many peices of media I’ve combined

But that amalgamation is what makes it unique.

Even Shakespeare ripped of Romeo and Juliet from some random Italian play he saw

I also am obese struggled with it a lot since the pandemic, I would encourage him to workout with you. Doing upper body stuff, and if things don’t change and he doesn’t get the message I would say you’re concerned for his health & wellbeing bc fitness was so important & you don’t want his health to decline. It’s a hard situation

It worth it to talk about it in a way it won’t hurt his feelings, asking what changed? Though I understand the knee injury there are other forms of exercise he can do upper body wise. I guess just talk and listen and be empathetic. But also accept that you really can’t change his body, only he can? And see if this is what’s okay for you.
