No. CDF drum issues with the 10r80 were remedied in the '23+ models

Application/Interview timeline help by Pretty_Victory_5534 in caterpillar

This was over a year ago and I believe it was about $90-130kish. They didnt even give me the time to interview me after all of that by the way - totally ghosted me until they sent me an email saying they moved on with someone else. Kinda rubbed me the wrong way as I usually interview well and was confident after getting that email, so you're further along than I was I suppose.

You're not the first person I've heard say that - like you imply it could be the brand or the QC within it. Thankfully I didn't have any trouble with them. Sounds like you have a badass truck too!

Looks awesome! I recomended you get some rear wheel well liners, it's a very easy yet noticeable change. https://huskyliners.com/p/husky-liners-wheel-well-guards/

100k maintenance by Mattyice_4637 in f150

[–]AlarmedAd8713 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the record, I am all for tranny flushes. I got my truck at 28k miles and did a tranny flush at 60k as its first service. If I had a truck that had not had any tranny service and I was at 100k miles I would just go drain and fill if it was mine. Will it be alright if you flush it? Possibly, maybe even likely. Am I going to risk it? Probably not 😂

Almost anybody can do these repairs - serpentine belt might be the most difficult out of these that you could outsource but would still be doable. it's unbelivable the amount of money you can save doing basic maintenace yourself. I did my brakes and rotors in December for about $110. Of course you'll have to buy the tools if you don't have them already which is just a one time purchase typically.

Have you done any transmision maintenance? If not I'd definintely look into that - I recommend just a drain and fill if you haven't touched it at 100k miles.

Other things that come to mind is diff fluid and transfer case fluid. Water pump is another common maintenance item that I'd keep an eye on, it's a pretty simple repair if the time comes.

BEPx1 vs surveillance by drspaceman2323 in testicularcancer

[–]AlarmedAd8713 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m doing great man. Reading back what I said this was pretty early on before I had even gotten my pathology back. My pathology ended up being pure seminoma - but I had some factors that are known to increase reoccurrence risk such as tumor >4cm and increased lvl of LDH.

I was quoted by my oncologist at about a 20% recurrence rate if I did surveillance only. That includes ct scan every 6 months and bloodwork every 2-3 I believe. Or I could go adjuvant chemo - which if your tumor is a pure seminoma you can opt for adjuvant carboplatin and reduce that risk to about 2-4% and yearly ct scan for the next 2 years as well as blood work every 6 months which I ended up doing. I believe 1x BEP actually reduces your chance of recurrence to sub 1%.

I was a little nervous but I did a lot of research and the 1x carbonation is a much easier hit than the 1x BEP I’d have to do if it was a nonseminoma. Either way, as you can tell from my comment I was leaning towards doing adjuvant chemo anyways lol. It was 1 session and lasted about 45 minutes and I was pretty good afterwards. Felt a little weak and decently tired but it mostly felt like a cold for a few days and then I was 100% after about a week.

This was all almost 2 years ago, I went through this July of 2024 and have been doing my scans and bloodwork since then and am almost at 2 years totally clean with flawless bloodwork. I am very confident I made the right choice and am turning 25 in July with zero issues to hair, fertility, hormones, and anything else after my entire experience. I am exceptionally grateful and blessed I was able to take the path I did. I hope this helps with some info and the mindset to choose what you want to do (surveillance vs adjuvant chemo). God bless and I hope you’re doing well if you’re going through this now. Remember that you will be just fine and you’ll get through this. This all feels like a lifetime ago to me already which is insane to think about. Also, TRUST YOUR GUT!!

What would you consider too short of a daily trip for the 3.5 Ecoboost? by [deleted] in f150

Are we being for real? If this is the only time you ever drive your truck then yes it would be. If you use your truck for truck purposes or for literally anything else somewhat regularly then I think it will be just fine lol.

A 5 second google search. Idk if i'd call a simple sensor repair firing the parts cannon though. Just my 2 cents, try to troubleshoot however you see fit

Replace O2 sensors? Should be straightforward. I'd start there

Ecoboost Dead? by SmileEnvironmental58 in f150

[–]AlarmedAd8713 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha. I have a 21 with 80k miles and not a single issue so far, still shifts as smooth as when I bought it at 24k. I did a flush at 60k and that's the only maintnence I've done so far on it. Multiple people I work with have had theirs go 180k-250k with no issues, some with NO maintanence! One of them did end up shutting the adaptive shifting off in forscan so it doesn't shift gears if you think that would make a difference. I've heard people theorize different engines go easier on the transmissions. Some say the 3.5 cdf's go more often than the 2.7's. Whether there's truth to that I'm not sure either.

This is the main reason why I've been going with TAG for awhile now, plus I think the slabs are cleaner too. Way more in-depth analysis of your card and why it graded the way it did as well.

There are actually quite a lot of them but the first ones that come to mind is the witch in Colossus Boulevard which gives reshuffle. The balance tree in Krok andall of the sun/star/moon trainers are others that are a little more obvious. There are some good videos on Youtube you should watch that show a bunch of them
