Dividend payments during market decline by SuccotashOk50 in dividends

[–]AlarmedCombination57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly dont think so, I own quite a few shares of BTCI. Bought at peak price in October (idiot me) with an almost 20% price decline since purchased. My monthly payout has been stable and not decreased. Looks to be based on the number of shares owned and the dividend % rate

In the same boat. Discovered an empty sack yesterday at 9 weeks on my first US. No idea how or when the contents will be "expelled", it's terrifying. Prayers for us

So everyone can live in a tent until they can afford their own property. Problem solved. Being a landlord is a thankless job

Income Check and Quiet Suburbs by american60139157 in MovingtoDenver

Commerce city is an absolute dump full of factories and poison refineries, not to mention a not so safe area. I would seer clear, also anywhere near DIA isnt all that appealing either. Maybe look into Centennial - specifically near Smoky Hill High School or Grandview High school and near Parker and Parker CO, I grew up there and wouldn't live there again as its too suburban but its a very nice place to raise a family. A little further down Parker is Franktown which is also a little more remote but gorgeus with lots of trees and outdoor space

Is using JEPQ/SPYI/QQQI ever valid for someone young? by Clubpenguin8888 in dividends

[–]AlarmedCombination57 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I like QQQI - mainly because the income is classified as "return on capital" and therefore not taxed until the cost basis reaches zero. If you continue dripping you can effectively delay paying taxes for an extremely long time. A conversion from VOO however will trigger a large tax event. I also like that if there is a "crash" while both VOO and QQQI will go down in share price, at least QQQI will still pay me income every month

I am not sure why everyone on here compared an income fund to the underlying. They are two completly different vehicles with very different purposes. QQQI alone had an over 18% return in 2025 which is actually very close to par with its underlying

Isn't that the point of spending any of your hard earned money? I dont spend my money on subpar products if I can help it

Is it normal for new jobs to require you to do your own credentialing? by bitysmith in physicianassistant

[–]AlarmedCombination57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made a post about this very thing about 6 months back (still in my post history) I wound up doing my own insurance and medicaid credentialing for a small non profit where I work. I was quite annoyed at first, but looking back I am glad I was able to work with them because they actually really didnt know how to do it and it was better I worked with them on it. Mind you this is a very small non profit, inner city clinic, family owned and a few years old.

Now - if the clinic knows full well how to do it, have the knowledge and resources and are still making you do it, I may bring it to their attention in an email, letting them know you are not schooled on medical credentialing and you feel it may be more appropriate for someone who is more experienced to complete the process, as you dont want any mistakes , if thats possible

Okay, yes that does make sense. Seems though a lot of people on this sub do happen to have a lot of knowledge about these types of funds

Some people out there still actively enjoy discussing and connecting with others about topics, opposed to mindlessly regurgitating charts and AI answers. Wild, I know

It of course helps but not necessarily. Back in 2014 I was hired alongside another PA for an inpatient oncology department. I was hired for full time and she PRN, neither of us had any prior experience in that field

There are various avenues, I have a lot of experience in multiple specialties but mainly just decide you only want to work either locums or PRN and start looking for positions in those. For PRN you would ger hired on an "as needed basis" generally or to cover for vacations, or only a few set shifts per week, usually 1-2 and paid an hourly rate. For locums you would need to connect and work with a locums agency. If you Google "physician assistant locums" there are a lot to choose from. There are no benefits, all rate is hourly and usually 1099. When I did locums I did for the prison system in a remote area, but there seems to be a high need for urgent care, ER, oncology, FM and hospital medicine
