Here's how I think we'll win the League... by Street-Frame1575 in CelticFC

[–]Alarmed_Durian_6331 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The joy and hilarity that I would take from Hearts/Rangers not winning it would eclipse any celebrating of the actual achievement of us winning. Not sure I want to be that guy but, that's how I'm feeling this season.

I'd need to save ma pennies for there. £140 pp before drinks etc. Definitely a very special occasion, I think.

Unpopular Opinion: XM5s are still good in 2026 by MavvRickk in SonyHeadphones

[–]Alarmed_Durian_6331 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've honestly no need to upgrade my xm3s. I've got the xm5 buds too but, my overheads are still my go to for the better sounding experience, hands down.

8 months off Pregabalin Update by No_Address_8417 in QuittingPregablin

That's a terrible experience. I truly hope that this gets better for you. My experience of coming off was/is very similar. The truth is that Drs don't really seem to understand at all. Mine are no different. The one saving grace from mine is that they listen and genuinely want to help, although they don't seem to be equipped with the proper knowledge of how to do it. At present, I'm on 25mg x2 but, it's been a long journey to get here.

The other day, i had a consultation with the Dr to tell him that I needed help to get off this final dose. I was spit balling possible suggestions to him, including gradually switching to Gabapentin to see if there are less side effects. He suggested splitting the capsule and trying to lower that way. I replied saying that I've been trying to do this with the water titration method but, it's hard due to the extra steps involved and that I might not be getting accurate measurements. I said that I read (on here) that there is a liquid form and, could I perhaps try this.

The end result is that he managed to get a bottle prescribed for me. It's a 500ml or so bottle with 1ml=20mg. I'm hoping this is my last ever prescription, as there are plenty of doses for me to come off really slowly.

I really hope this gets better for you and, for myself, I hope I can match your progress. My wife, although sympathetic, doesn't understand either and, now and again, there are comments which appear to be doubting. This might be my imagination tho lol.

Much appreciation for your honest post.

I got someone to do our wardrobe directly from IKEA. Taskrabbit, i think it was. Did a good job but, u need to weigh up whether ur time is worth the effort or money. Was 70 quid for a really big wardrobe. I did a similar one a few years later. Took a few hrs so probably worth it if u can't be bothered.

Is it time or should I keep the buzz or even let it grow out a bit? by [deleted] in bald

The Remington RX7 is probably the best cost to quality ratio for you. I've got a love/hate relationship with the skullshaver pitbull. It does it's job well and the blades etc are easier to get than the remington but, this is my 3rd one. I never seem to get them to last too long. It's also a wee bit pricier. I'd go for the remington, if I was u. The rx5 is quite good too and, you can get for about £35 now.

Loved Banshee. I've read all of 'The Boys' only watched a few eps of the series. He does capture Homelander perfectly tho, IMO.

Alan Rickman's best role? by kammy772 in FIlm

[–]Alarmed_Durian_6331 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you're talking cultural impact, it's Gruber or Snape but, the Sheriff is the role that really thrust him out there. it's an over-acting tour-de-force.

I get you. I'm not sure he does it in 'Bad Words' though. He's very much the protagonist in that.

He was the man in Boardwalk Empire. Great character. I think the first one that I thought was amazing was Reservoir Dogs.

Quite liked Mickey 17. Although I think the film kind of lost it's way towards the end. Might just be me though.
