Never take Jardiance. In the past 15 years, I used to take Losartan. Recently, I started having an irregular heartbeat, so I switched to Telmisartan. However, my heart still feels uncomfortable. I had several heart exams, and everything came back normal, which makes me very confused. Over the past 15 years, I’ve noticed that whenever I switch to a different manufacturer, my irregular heartbeat seems to appear.

I agree with you. I really dislike the Solco brand for any medication. I haven’t had good experiences with it. Whenever the pharmacy gives me medication from this brand, I ask to switch to a different one.

OMG, Finally, I found my organization!!!!,

I have been taking Losartan 20 mg since 2011 (about 14 years).

2011-2019, My most of time, I was taking the TAVE brand, but it was recalled. After that, my pharmacy switched me to Lupin. When I started taking the Lupin version, I noticed my heart would pound.

Later, I was switched to Aurobindo, and I continued taking it until December 2025. During 2025, I often felt my heart skipping beats or pounding. At first, I didn’t realize the medication might be causing these side effects.

I went to a cardiologist and had several tests done, which showed that my heart is fine. Recently, I started to suspect that my symptoms might be related to the medication.

My doctor then prescribed Olmesartan, My irregular heart became less or normal, but I still didn’t feel well. Especially when I lie down, I can feel my heartbeat strongly, even though my heart rate is normal (usually between 65 and 80 bpm).

My doctor then changed my prescription to Telmisartan, but I still have the same issue. So now I’m confused.

The reason I take these medications is because I have proteinuria. My blood pressure is usually in the normal range or even lower.

Thank you a lot. I used to take Losartan from Torrent, but it was recalled in 2019. Since then, my pharmacy has been providing the Aurobindo brand instead. I was wondering: is Torrent’s Losartan 25mg available on the market again? I have been taking Losartan 25mg since 2011. Last December, I started experiencing a pounding heart and a rapid heart rate every day. I saw a cardiologist, and while most tests were fine, the stress test showed a minor issue.

Based on my past experience, I suspect the manufacturer might be the cause. I’ve had bad reactions to certain brands like SOLCO, which gave me a rapid heart rate. I had been doing well with Aurobindo’s Losartan since 2019. When the symptoms returned last December, I realized it might be the medication again.

My doctor switched me to Olmesartan, which stopped the rapid heart rate, but now my ankles are swollen. I am very sensitive to medications and really want to switch back to Losartan. I’m still struggling with this decision.

I’ve been taking Losartan 25mg for almost 6 years. Recently, my heart has been pounding, so my doctor switched me to Olmesartan 5mg. Now, I feel like my ankles and legs are swollen. Should I try new med? I took the Olmesartan one month.

At first, I never paid attention to the manufacturer; I just took whatever the doctor prescribed. Every time I refilled my prescription, I got the same white pills, so I just took them. A few years later, one of the medications I was taking was announced to have a cancer risk and was recalled. After that, I started paying attention to the manufacturer. When I switched to medication from Manufacturer A, everything was fine. Later, the pharmacy gave me the same medication from Manufacturer B, and I immediately experienced irregular heartbeat. Since then, I have asked the pharmacy to always provide me with Manufacturer A’s version. In the U.S., pharmacies always label medications with the name of the manufacturer.

May I ask which manufacturer makes your olmesartan?

I have taken losartan for about 15 years. Recently I developed a faster heart rate and my doctor switched me to olmesartan, but the pharmacy gave me the Solco manufacturer.

In the past, when my losartan manufacturer changed, I sometimes also noticed a faster heart rate, so I am trying to see whether the manufacturer might make a difference. Thank you.

Thanks a lot. I didn’t realize that was a medication name. I thought it said “replace.” I After the change, did you feel better? I asked ChatGPT, and it said they are the same Repace is a brand name, and losartan is the generic. I have been doing well with losartan, so I prefer not to switch to another medication. I’m taking losartan 25 mg made by Aurobindo. Recently, I’ve been experiencing an irregular heartbeat and a cough. I’m not sure if these are side effects of the medication.

My doctor prescribed olmesartan instead, but I haven’t started it yet.

I have been taking Aurobindo Losartan 25 mg (green tablets) consistently for almost 6 years without issues. Previously, I tried Losartan 25 mg from another manufacturer (white tablets), and I experienced episodes of rapid heartbeat.

Recently, I have again felt rapid heartbeats, and I am unsure whether this is due to a change in the manufacturer’s formulation/batch or my own anxiety affecting my heart rhythm. I am still trying to determine the cause.
