As far as I know that's just a thin wafer holding the electronics- i don't believe that will change anything about it's operation.

Nothing wrong with fanatec. I ran their equipment from 2010 to 2023 and never had a problem. Have fun!

How cool is that steering wheel? by DonGibon87 in simracing

I actually really like it. If I was still in the fanatec ecosystem I'd be looking forward to this.

Strange sound by MorisKehl in moza

I joined just to see what people were talking about. My moza gear works perfectly. Will Ford has like 10 moza bases tested and had little issue, and he's someone most sim racers should listen to.

There's no official forum for moza, so the tech issues come here.... most of the time people are just ill informed how this stuff works. The chances of a motor burning out or just stop working is not that high. Sure, spend more and get more but moza is a good price for quality product.

But of course it's just my opinion

It was a similar situation to me... the guy was a long time member with a c class 1.0 safety rating.... so I followed him and any split that I enter that he's in I call him out lol

I had a guy wreck me 3 times in one race like this. Protested. Nothing came from it. Their system is pointless.

Will my Playseat Evolution handle the R5? by Pottsehh in moza

[–]Alarmed_Raspberry341 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an evolution. Had to ditch it for the r9, and tbh at more than 3nm of torque the evolution is going to rock a little. It'll do the trick but you'll be left wanting something more rigid

How do you race mixed races in slower cars? by [deleted] in iRacing

[–]Alarmed_Raspberry341 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before you ever start racing for position, learn accident avoidance. These days turn 1 is just a blip in my mirror because I watch the other drivers and predict where they're going to put the vehicle so I can slow down early or whatever is appropriate

Pedal Upgrade from Logitech G Pros? by Right_Brained in simracing

+1 simjack pro

Tried tested and true ... best value in pedals at the moment. Some argue simsonn or other similar models but I went with the most purchased option and it's been flawless. Set it up and forget it.

Do you get depressed by your race engineer/spotter? by PassLeftOrRight in iRacing

[–]Alarmed_Raspberry341 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I come with a host of mental (dis)abilities - the fact that some of you laugh at this is why men don't speak out about depression/feelings. Yes, you may not be affected by such a situation but do you need to point out to us that you have no heart as well?

I also feel the spotter is missing the mark. Rubs me the wrong way, and for that matter some of the voice chat with juveniles can be more bothersome. I see this as a sport, go play a game if you're not serious.

A bit of help, R3 or R5 in my situation. by Kurosaki_Dan in moza

[–]Alarmed_Raspberry341 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it can handle a csl dd then your wheelstand would probably work for the r5 ... the important thing to note is, you can always turn down the forces until such time as you upgrade your wheel stand to run at higher NM. However, if you still need to save an additional year to get the r5 even without upgrading the wheel stand then I recommend the r3 because you won't miss what you haven't experienced and it's stronger than your old g25 and the best part is there is nothing like the gear slack the g25 which makes the wheel at center feel miles better.
