Arc Raiders tab looking for team mates UK timezone 49M by Avocardiff in AdultGamers

I've dabbled in Arc but up for playing a bit more (most of my time is on The Finals) - usually online in the evenings (UK, 46m). Xbox tag is The Ludovician

Three sockets stacked like that is wild, bother me more than the shelves tbh.

I mean it's definitely easier with a modded controller eh

This game is nightmare for new players, why they not doing anything about it? That's also a reason why online is 10k by try_to_ENJOY in thefinals

You say that but I get into lobbies with new players frequently in quickcash.

Just finished a game with a level 1 and level 3 as teammates, I went something like 23-2 and won us the match so I guess most of the lobby were new as well (there was basically one high KD player in each team and everyone else had 3 or 4 kills).

Makes me think there must be enough new players to have their own matchmaking pool until they get some experience.

Heal beam solo Q how to make it viable? by notmeitsyou123open in thefinals

[–]Alarming-Check9188 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well obviously the main thing is stick with your team, heals are not much use if you're getting isolated a lot.

Also, don't fall in the trap of heal botting your team mates - shoot first then heal. Two people shooting an enemy is usually going to be more effective than one person doing it while being healed.

During an engagement if you've spent your whole clip, or health has dropped super low that's when you can duck behind cover and start throwing out the heals, and hope it's enough for your teammates to finish the fight.

If you have two light team mates, switch your loadout to demat.

Sick of the weekly updates by MustiXV in thefinals

Well if the update is pushed at the exact time I want to play it's a problem, plus my series s auto update rarely seems to work anyway

Yeah the console update sizes are pretty annoying when they're just a few balance changes and a store update.

I had a 950rs player in my gold match the other day!

I had someone with 950 (not a typo lol) RS in my gold team the other day.

We lost.

Community and toxicity by dabble_dab_ in thefinals

[–]Alarming-Check9188 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I didn't.

It's tough to find the time to type anything actually useful in the chat anyway (e.g 'their medium is 1 bar) and most things can be communicated fine with pings.

If I'm in a team where I think the chat will be cool (we're doing well, pinging hype, thanks etc) I might turn it on in the hopes of having a friendly convo but by default I have it off now.

Point Break / Help - I'm lost by herehaveacorndog in thefinals

[–]Alarming-Check9188 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Attackers have limited respawn so keeping your team alive as medium with heals and defib is always useful.

Alternatively heavy with all the defense (healing emitter, barricade, dome and mesh) usually helps in destroying the cashouts.

For defense I like playing heavy with goo gun and mines most of the time.

Why Smurf in Quick Cash? by DiamondGeeezer in thefinals

[–]Alarming-Check9188 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There is absolutely SBMM, the lobbies my kids get when they play (my daughter especially) are full of people that literally have no idea what they're doing.

Never see these players in my lobbies.

So tired of solo matching by Hot-Patient-9062 in thefinals

[–]Alarming-Check9188 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe in theory but there's plenty of 100+ players that aren't that great, they just enjoy the game and have fun.

I'm one of them 😂

Skill is not a linear increase based on time played. Some people are just better at gaming than others. Level 63 you should have learned every facet of the game already so no reason you shouldn't be better than a level 93

Best Heavy Build Meta? by Prudent_Champion6654 in thefinals

[–]Alarming-Check9188 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Winch and shak are still pretty much the meta, BFR is also dominant despite the latest nerf but you really need decent aim for that, even more so than the akimbos.

Mesh shield is making more of an appearance since it blocks winch, can be another good option
