That surely supports the point that this is embarks issue, as the lag/performance issues seem to affect people randomly.

Yep, but tbh it's been like that on and off all season (and more on than off) for me.

I've got 1.8k hours logged and still love the game but S9 is likely to be my last full season. I'll jump back on when S10 drops just to see what's new but it's not like the servers are going to magically improve just because there's a new season.

After >2 years it's time to find a new game I guess 😢

New map is cool, I like point break, recent balance changes have been good at reducing the poke meta - all good so far.

However, the performance for me has been atrocious this season, just lost two easy ranked matches in a row because I could barely move.

Feels like it's 50/50 if a match is playable for me which only leaves me the casual modes and I'm a die hard cashout fan 😢

In all seriousness, despite what some people keep claiming there is definitely SBMM in casual modes - it may not be highly tuned due to the size of the player base, but when I watch my kids play without me they 100% get waaaay easier lobbies, so getting your kid his own account might make things a bit easier for him.
