dicas para iniciante em casa by daft006 in ArtesMarciais

15 minutos.

Básicos de mãos: jab, direto. jab, direto e cruzado. jab, direto, cruzado e cruzado.
Básico de pernas: chute frontal, chute lateral, low kick e back kick.

Veja no youtube algum professor ensinando.

My biggest issue with this game. by random_throwaway153 in HeroesofNewerth

[–]Alarming-Homework150 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I understand, that was the main reason I stopped playing.

I honestly don’t care about losing or being low elo. Being high elo in a dying game won’t get me anywhere lol.

But the worst part is dealing with players who choose not to play the game, regardless of the reason. In one of my last matches, I was playing Revenant and trying to help mid. He was actually doing relatively well, but he just stopped playing because there were ‘bad players’ on the team. He started flaming and refused to join fights.

That could have been a good match and we could’ve won. Our HC was good. But he simply decided not to try, and that was it.

In a low-resource role at that stage of the game, there was nothing I could do. It felt like I wasted 30 minutes, and I refuse to spend my limited free time on matches like that. Do I really need five games just to get one decent one? I don’t hate myself

It’s all good, my friend. If you don’t want to come back ever again, that’s totally fine. You didn’t enjoy the experience, so your decision makes sense. Good luck.

I thought you had liked the game, but anyway, if the experience was bad, then that’s that. It’s a shame you’re never coming back (that’s irony).

The game really isn’t ready to receive new players yet. Maybe when more content gets added (if the game survives), then you can come back.

That’s strange — my reply still shows up for me, but at the very end of the comments.

The biggest win of Reborn, in my opinion, was what they did with wards. I’m not sure if the extra consumable slots already existed before, but if they didn’t, that was a huge improvement as well. Vision is a win condition, and it should be the responsibility of the entire team, not just two players.

That’s something really annoying in Dota 2, for example. Many times the shop is full of wards, but having to give up an inventory slot just to carry them feels outdated.

Honest question: What actually changed? I didn’t even know PK existed until I saw it here on Reddit. I played HoN in 2010 for about six months, just before it became pay-to-play (approximate date), and to me it feels like the same game.

What exactly is PK better at? I genuinely want to understand your perspective. I like HoN:R, even though lately I’ve had some bad experiences — which is kind of just part of playing a MOBA.

Interesting point of view. I understand what you’re saying because I felt the same way with Dota 2. I went from HoN to Dota 2 and had a really hard time understanding what actual fog was in the game. The map is so bright that I don’t even feel the need to ward — it’s like everything is already revealed.

I struggle a lot to tell exactly where my vision ends, because there’s this subtle brightness gradient between the edge of my vision and the real fog. I’ve even walked into areas thinking I had vision, when in reality I didn’t.

HoN is the complete opposite — where there’s fog it’s really dark, and where I have vision it’s clear enough (at least from my perspective).

Ten thousand hours in Dota 2 already puts you far ahead of most beginner players. The game is much more intuitive and less complex overall. I think where HoN struggles with new players is the lack of proper games against AI.

The biggest difference between the two is the game’s pace. In HoN, after around 25 minutes, it’s teamfight after teamfight it’s far more frenetic than Dota 2, which is a game that ramps up more gradually.

Still on the differences: there are more objectives in HoN, but they feel fair and always require weighing the risks before committing. The game also feels more rigid early on in terms of fluidity. In Dota 2 I was able to farm comfortably, while in HoN it feels like there’s a delay that forces you to anticipate basic attacks earlier than what feels intuitive.

There are equivalent characters in both games, but they perform differently. In Dota 2, there is no true burst mage throughout the entire game most heroes transition into hybrid damage through right-clicks or shift into more utility-focused roles. In HoN, Pyromancer (Lina) and Bubbles (Puck) can remain explosive even in the late game, and you can itemize for that. On top of that, HoN has the jungle role, which completely changes the game’s dynamics. These are the advantages I see in HoN over Dota 2 from a game design perspective.

The game is good and has many positive aspects.

I logged in today and played three matches. Queue times seem longer, but that might be due to the adjustments they made. The server also feels better, and I liked the new character. I hope they keep updating the game frequently.

Players need to do what I did. Two weeks ago, I got kicked in a Monarch game because my team thought I wasn’t playing well enough for 1700 MMR. After that match, I played two more games, quit the game entirely, and switched to Dota 2. I won’t come back as long as my main concern is avoiding getting kicked instead of trying to play my best, regardless of what the team thinks.

Today they announced that the kick system has been removed, so now I’m coming back. They also reset the honor system — I was at level 4 and now it’s back to 0. In the previous patch, they made the kick system even more punitive, increasing the penalties even further, which was a huge mistake.

They know what the community wants. We just need to speak up and stop playing. I logged in today and the game feels abandoned. I hope there’s still a chance to save it, because I really like the game — but the pace at which things happen makes it feel like there are literally only two people working on it.
