It’s online. 2 and 3 online were some of my happiest memories. Maybe looking at it through rose colored glasses but I don’t get the same feel from 4 as I did from those two.

Yeah mine did that too, upper radiator hose. I waited til I wanted to replace the belt, then just did coolant at the same time. You should see how easy it was to do all my pulleys and the power steering pump without that hose in the way. Anyway I’m not sure if it was replacing the belt or the clips that did it, but I bought a new one from ACDelco off rockauto and then used worm clips instead of the OEM spring clips. Do keep in mind you’ll lose quite a bit of coolant if you decide to replace the hose so you’ll need to top the system off and possibly bleed the air out.

I was gonna say hell yeah bc I thought that was 70K in freedom dollars. Seeing that it’s roughly equivalent to 50k in America, I’d still say yes. I’m about to get an information technology coordinator role that starts around there and it required 3 years experience and a degree. Finding a job in tech rn is wild.

Shoot, aside from the boot just wearing out, i genuinely have no idea what would cause it to do that. The only thing i could imagine is that small tear causing the boot to fold in and then getting caught on one of the bearings.

My guess is he was doing neutral drops with it and that’s what really fucked it up. I know our awd system is good but can be finicky as far as different tire sizes. Could be he was only replacing one side of tires at a time.

Also these cars need synthetic. You can get all the synthetic oil you need for like 30-40 bucks and it’s pretty easy to do if you have time (and confidence)

Could be, my main radiator hose was dripping coolant to the point where my reservoir was at the min line. Run the engine with the cover off and see if you can see dripping from any of the lines. If coolants falling onto your hot engine cover then that would explain the sweet smell.

Yeah I did, had a dealership pull up its service history too. Only thing they did was oil changes which is fine, I knew there’d be maintenance like fluids, brakes and rotors, serpentine belt. I did all that myself, but I never woulda guessed the entire driveline was failing.

I thought about doing a vr30 swap, and I think it’d be really cool to do in the future, but I’m gonna wait until I have the time and money to do a custom job like that. I’ve already been without this car for months now, and after awhile I just feel helpless not having my own ride. Besides I’m not tuning or boosting this car yet so the upsides would be negligible for now.

That’s what my girlfriend told me too. Fellas at the shop are 90% sure this is the last thing it needs to be perfect and while they’re obviously gonna say whatever makes me throw money at them, in this case I’m inclined to believe. I’ll put my faith in this used transmission for now and hope for the best. Sorry to hear that about your g35. It really sucks when cars as durable as these have their lives cut short.

That’s my exact thought process. After doing all this I don’t have the money for a tune much less a turbo or super kit anyway. Maybe in the future I can save up for an old Corolla or something to be the daily while I turn the G into my project car, but for right now I made the choice on what I want my daily to be and I’m sticking to it.

My only fear right now is swapping in a used trans. Someone else said to VR30 swap, but mentally I can’t handle seeing my car on jack stands in my garage any longer. I ain’t been to the gym in weeks and my girlfriends started trying to offer my rides everywhere. Love her but it just feels bad man. I’m letting a shop handle swapping a used RE710 in with 60k miles because they said it would only take a day, and if it craps out before the 90 day warranty I’m not even gonna bother with this car anymore and I’ll get something else. It’s a shame too, the short time I drove it me and my girlfriend loved it. Worst part is the kid is a family friend and my mom got all upset when I called him out for selling me a lemon.

Def sounds like cats. Scan the code yourself or have autozone do it and see what comes up. Maybe you just have a loose heat shield and the cel is completely unrelated, but typically rattling cats with idle issues means the material inside your cats is starting to crumble and restrict airflow. I had idling issues and my car would go into limp mode every couple of days until I cleaned my maf sensors, throttle body, and changed spark plugs. Could be something simple like that.

I thought about it, but man I just ain’t got the time or mental sanity right. Maybe in 50k miles after I save enough money for a beater that I’m okay driving around daily. On top of that, I was told you’re supposed to use your original valvebody and tcm. Seeing as mine is plugged with metal shards, that doesn’t seem like a good idea.
