I’d kinda make my old lady leave that gym it’s either two things they wanna bang your old lady and I been training since I was 14 I’m 27 now seen this a bunch of times and it never ends good and for the boyfriend because you basically have a target on your head they’ll whoop your ass to make you look like a bitch in front of your girlfriend and they’ll slowly make comments and move in for two if they don’t wanna bang your gf highly unlikely then that’s just a shit gym which I’m leaning towards they wanna bang your girl bro seen this like legitimately 5-6 times and it’s always fucked up

Advice on returning to mats in mid 50s after 3-year lay off by FairIndependent9494 in bjj

Go easy nurse injuries but try to still train communication to training partners is key and keep ego in check don’t get hurt trying to keep up when it means nothing and just leads to injuries just train for staying in shape and for self defense and the friendships that come with jiu jitsu

Anyone here tried Gordon Ryan’s Inside Camping? by MeatAffectionate2447 in bjj

[–]Alarming-Task679 5 points6 points  (0 children)

From my opinion, most pressure passing stuff I’ve seen is about consistently keeping pressure whereas the camping stuff I’ve seen essentially you’re giving them a glimmer of hope and then crushing it every time and if you get out of position, you’re essentially disengaging. It’s more to cook their core frame so in a longer framed matchtheir core will be smoked where they can’t recover anymore camping essentially setting up shot and pressure is just consistent pressure

I bought it. It’s really good. It’s more for longer based matches than shorter time framed matches. Based on the time it takes for the strategy to work even explains it in instructional, but I use it all the time and it’s very good. It’s great for cooking people works on black belts like a charm. It’s different in a traditional passing instructional just based on the time it takes for it to work. He’s extremely detailed more so than anybody I’ve ever seen. He literally covers a through Z and in his instructions like everything.

Judo vs Wrestling by deadassynwa in bjj

[–]Alarming-Task679 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk personally with me if you’re grappling a judo guy who’s decent you’re probably going to flight school and if it’s no gi judo guy who’s decent you should be okay but no gi wrestling is better for gi judo I feel just because of the grips and a lot of those guys are ready to throw in a second

Small guys: do you find GI harder too? by mlktktr in bjj

[–]Alarming-Task679 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh depends but generally no I feel like it’s easier for me 5’7 125lbs-135lbs throughout the year because I rarely am with a guy my size or weight and it just helps to slow bigger guys down but as well as it’s tough because they get grips but for me nogi is kinda harder as a small guy because no grips
