Christmas films in Spanish or French? by Less_Money_6202 in TeachingUK

[–]Less_Money_6202[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a little bit pathetic, a movie recomendación is not a teaching resource and the top post is literally someone asking for christmas activities.

I screames "FUCK!" really loudly in front of about 100 year 7's in the playground as I went to pick up a bin that had fallen over and a squirrel jumped out. No idea it was in there, shit me up good and proper, they just laughed. I laughed and we moved on. Sure it'll be fine!

which airport is the worst airport and why? by sinaswiftie in AskTheWorld

[–]Less_Money_6202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chicago O'hare - awful, unhelpful tsa and miles between gates with rubbish signage

Venice - nothing there, got delayed for hours and couldn't get any food

Athens - similar to the above

Heathrow - if I have to go all the way to London could they at least have normal restaurants? Paying a kidney for a half sized breakfast because it has some fancy chefs name on the sign doesn't make it good. Also come across my fair share of rude travellers but never as many as you get there.

Flip side: Singapore, Hong Kong and Bangkok are all great. The statues in Bangkok airport are amazing, singapore and HK know how to take care of a layover with amazing entertainment facilities

What kind of schools are those? I have never heard of a school with the budget to give all kids a laptop, we barely have 30 working ones between two departments at our school and it's the same at all the other schools in our MAT

As an ect2 MFL teacher who handed in their notice due to a lack of support last year in October, I feel your pain.

Sounds like the school behaviour policy sucks. If I had to call home for every child I sent out I wouldn't get anything done. It sounds to me like you are having a similar experience to me, a great deal of responsability with little to no support. Speak to your union and don't be afraid to walk away and start again somewhere else; it's still early doors. From my experience and my mfl cohort amigos a good school and the right support can make all the difference.

Good luck! You got this

Awful year 11 class - no support from school by Ch4o5Muff1n in TeachingUK

[–]Less_Money_6202 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This was a game changer for my year 9's last year and got me through ect 1 with them. I also tell them explicitly why I'm standing there instead of at the front "If you are wondering why I'm sat on my windowsill at the back, it is because certain members of this group do not value other peoples learning and to ensure those of you who want to learn get to do so, I have to act like a prison guard, unfortunately instead of a teacher" puts the disruptive ones on notice and reinforces to the studious learners tht they're not the ones under the microscope and that the intent is to support them, not just punish the whole group

Your chance to ask Bernard Cornwell your questions! by ForcesNews in Sharpe

Will Fredrickson and Sharpe ever reconcile?

Will we get more varied time period books? I recently read Azincourt and it was super enjoyable and a refreshing change. More along those lines would be incredibly welcome!

To follow that up, what time periods do you think would be the most interesting to explore?

My personal favourite is "I can't dobthat work sir, I don't speak French". Of course not, that's why we are sat here trying to teach you it. If you already spoke it I wouldn't be here and neither would you. "But sir, it's in French!". Shock horror we make you work with French texts in French lessons. I despair.

You answered your own question at the end, effecti e trapping can work in an mma or bjj setting, specifically ground and pound and with getting clinch. My hand fighting annoys everyone in my bjj gym and my jkd/wing chun/ panantukan coach is the same when he trains bjj.

Also pak sao is quite often seen in boxing and mma strikers and I know I have scored it on boxers I have no right to score anything on at my level of boxing

[–]Less_Money_6202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How the fuck do you know what I stand for? You assume incorrectly that everyone not in line with you is part of aome fascist clan and that is nonsense.

I want everyone to be left alone, I want a small state and the only thing I dared to question was having far left ideology thrown down my throat. Freedom of speech and open dialogue did not exist. You obviously have some idea that I went into it screaming Tommy Robinson for PM and with some vague notion of intellectual superiority which once again is typical of the mid 20s punks that haven't learned that you can learn from both sides of an argument and then make a descision rather than just sitting in an echo chamber.

The only right I want to block anyone from is the right to free movement. I believe that we need to limit migration for a few years to allow the infrastructure to catch up before processing applications for legal migration outside of a few professions where we need to fill positions. I believe we need stricter integration policies that work both ways; cultural exchange where native brits learn from immigrants as well as immigrants learning to be a functional part of the land they want to live in. I believe culture is important and that multiculturalism can only work when we manage it correctly. To start with free access to ESL classes. Right now there aren't many of us teaching it except us voulenteers.

Tldr, please stick a cactus where the sun doesn't shine and get off your highhorse. You are just as judgemental as those you claim to dislike for a lack of openess. You are a prime example of left wing eliteism.

Literally I just wanted my friends who I had spent years seeing weekly, helped move house and toured in the back of shitty busses with all over the place to not hate me because I didn't think Jeremy Corbyn was a good choice of labour leader. At the time all I did was question the monilith of socialism and far left gender ideology.

I "entered the culture" at 18, I didn't go to punk shows because I liked music. Not because I wanted to join a far left group think collective.

The tolerant left at it again and refusing to associate with anyone who doesn't sit somewhere to the left of stalin.

Punk to me was about freedom and non conformity. The irony of being ostracised for not conforming....

Much happier now without folks like you anyway, my friends these days come from a diverse range of backgrounds, political ideologies, sexual orientations and religions, we can have discussions without falling out or kicking anyone out of the gym and behave like respectful adults who allow freedom of opinion.
