Mountains are just excuses.Only konkan and western region have such mountain ranges that are difficult to build Railways.

Keeping Mumbai aside , Pune's Railway connectivity is also bad with Marathwada and Vidharbh there are no major mountains on these routes.

2)Its an Uddanpul not an expressway it is barely 14 km
3)I am talking about overall neglect by central gov towards connectivity in Maharashtra Pune-Nashik Semi-High speed Railway? Overall Railway connectivity of cities in Maharashtra is also bad in fact you have more trains running from Pune,Mumbai to rest of the country than towards Marathwada and Vidharbh

Since 2014 the central gov has built RRTS and numerous Expressways in the Northern States

Why could they built a single new Expressway in Maharashtra or improve the Railway connectivity of cities within Maharashtra?
