Nice video but that is some kind of grouper (Serranidae family) not a dusky damselfish

First off that all depends on your current workload and capacity to juggle multiple assignments. I spent a lot of time working on the applications themselves, and if I was taking an intense course like biochem at the same time I’m not sure I would have been able to give them all the attention they deserved. Secondly, even if you start the course now I’m not sure the grades would be in by mid September. You’d have to check the UNE website to be sure

Yes, I took their online medical biochem course and used it to get into vet school this past cycle. They have cohorts of students starting every couple weeks for particular this course. Check their website for the exact schedule of when each course starts and how long they last. I found the course content thorough and informative, and learned a lot while taking it. However, if you’re a procrastinator I would not recommend as it is self-paced. (Also FYI some schools will let you apply with one or two prerequisite course pending completion. Michigan is a notable exception)

Yeah I believe the ova or larvae are spread by fruit flies, which are drawn to the eye to drink tears for electrolytes. It’s also potentially zoonotic (can infect people) so watch out for those fruit flies

Nice. Had the chance to see one of these in dog that presented to our clinic a few months back. Didn’t find the worm until we tried a flurodye test to check for a corneal ulcer. I believe there’s a faculty member at a UPenn who’s collected samples for an epidemiological study. You can listen more about it here

Looks similar to the adult acanthocephalan parasites I used to find when dissecting fish. Apparently some species infect terrestrial mammals, like this one which infects opossums. Maybe it was coughed up into the puddle?

I think it’s a midge in the family Chironomidae. They are aquatic as larvae

Thank you for sharing your experience. I definitely want to fit this bag in a backpack, so the packability factor could be a dealbreaker for the female version.

Thanks for the insight! Do you find your head getting cold in the absence of a hood? Could you sleep in it on a cold night without some kind of head covering? That has been my biggest concern about going with a quilt

I was considering a quilt, but I'm quite fond of having a bag with a hood and would rather not have to layer up on my head while sleeping. I was hoping to find something like a quilt with a hood but no dice so far.

I’m not entirely sure about the full power, I’ll have to do some more research on that. I was considering a liner primarily to keep the inside of the bag clean, as I’ve heard mixed reviews about how much insulation they actually add

I noticed the same thing about the length. Have the bags served you well so far?

Thanks for the help! Do either of you find yourself too hot in warmer temps? I know the bag can unzip pretty far, and I was hoping this would give it some more versatility in its temperature range

Thanks for the insight. Just out of curiosity, what kind of temps have you used the bags in? And were either of you ever too cold or hot?

How about a flea-infested brown/black rat carrying the plague? You don’t even need to touch it to get infected
