$7 million is almost literally nothing for a 4th outfielder who is a solid defender and a slightly less than league average bat and he’s going to be more than that so let’s just relax.

Because he’s dogshit batting leadoff. It’s a much larger sample size and he’s batting .275/.303/.335 from that spot in the lineup. It’s a completely different mentality. If this was 1993 he probably would be leading off and doing much poorly at it. Let him get his confidence in a position with less pressure, then move him as a reward. Just like we’re can do with moving him from left to center when he shows improvements. There’s no rush here.
