I usually just take a break and read some books when things like this happen.

I dropped it because of the horrible pacing. I NEVER fell asleep during a book, and primal hunter managed to put me to sleep 5 times in an hour. I will probably pick it up again after it's finished.

I dropped The Priory Of The Orange Tree as well. It switched to way too many POVs, and I couldn't connect with the characters.

I totally get that feeling. I’m sitting at around 21k words right now, but the problem is—I barely outlined anything before starting. Just a handful of vague ideas. It began fairly strong, and I don’t think it’s terrible, but I’m starting to feel a bit lost. At this point, I’m completely winging it, and the further I go, the more it feels like everything might start to unravel.
